I believe the trails through/around the Angora burn area are going get some love this summer too... so keep an eye out for volunteer opportunities. Some really fun casual riding back there... and a few good boulders too.

My understanding is that it is already kosher with the FS. The vote is for grant $$ from Bell Helmets.

FWIW, I was hesitant to "like" them on fb and vote, but after several days I haven't seen much crap from them... just the occasional post about projects or products.

I voted felt, funny about the ap but all I was told it done that way to keep people from voting numerous times.

A great trail is still going in at Sky Tavern. Log berms, pavers, some large jumps and drop offs were there by last Fall. Should be great once Mt Rose adds the bridge across Hwy 431. My neighborhood kids had some great doubles and berms up near Galena in the National forest until the rangers tore it apart.

I know some of the rangers (or more likely trail crew) that have to tear those down. Believe me, most of them are bummed when they have to do it. As far as I'm concerned, as long as they have proper erosion control measures and don't involve destruction of vegetation (other than white thorn), they should be allowed... but I don't make the decisions.

I was hoping there was a vote to open it to dirt bikes. :(

Low impact trials bikes, of coarse...

Depends on how many times you eat at Brother's Burrito House I suppose.

Bump.

Dirt bikes are still going to be allowed on this trail.

and yes, the reason it has gotten this far is that it has been approved by the USFS. In fact, they are really helping to push this forward.
