I was there (and then hung for a few days more).
It was great. A lot of the Lowes were there, as was a crusty old guide named Ted, who told me some interesting items about Layton.
The house was packed and Jeff got a fine round of applause.
Unfortunately his daughter Sonja could not be there, but drove all that night from LA and brought jeff's grand daughter, Valentina, the "anti-brat", absolutely the most charming child in the world (and already at 3 a natural climber).
I can see why Jeff is hanging in there, quite the family.

Sounds like it was an inspiring and awesome time. Thanks for the report Ron.
I guess there are mostly highs when hanging with the Lowes! Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun! But it sure as heck seems true.
I met jello just once, when he came and did an excellent slide show for a teeny audience at a local REI about 8 or so years ago. There is a real force of human-ness to him. He inspires you to feel with him.
Peace,
Eric
