Base and slack are passe. Dean should touch stone only.

I don't have the requisite dudatude, the brojones, if you will, to be a base jumper, but I really enjoyed seeing the extended coverage of Dean's explorations and motivations.

I like that he goes around the standard hardman arithmetic to arrive at his own conclusions. More of a latter day Dan Osman than anything. I will fault for him losing the stone cold hard lady Steph, however ;).

Dean has shown the future. One day there will be a hover belt and no ropes or other gear involved. Just a bunch of new age idiots with their balls all shiny attempting to free the nose with auto hover engaged. And it will rock!

I guess it was cool back in the day but Honnold has soloed the alien roof sans parachute.

The new frontier has gone beyond "Free Base". Its just free solo now and with it comes a humble less ego forward helmsman.

I thought it was cool footage of an interesting concept, I'm not interested at all in who is "manning" the ship or in some trite baseball card comparison.

I was much more interested in saying "balls all shiny" rather than establishing a pecking order of peckers or debating the whole Dean thing ;).
