Location: Round Table Pizza, 2065 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa

Time & Date: Tuesday, April 2, 2013 @ 7:30 PM (Social hours and free beer for members at 6:30)

Directions: From Highway 101 at Santa Rosa go west on Highway 12 to Stony Point Road Exit. Go straight from the middle lane at the light onto Occidental Road. The Round Table Pizza is on the right just down the road.

Vitaliy Musiyenko is a young and motivated climber and mountaineer from San Francisco. “Since my first trip to Eastern Sierra to climb Mt. Whitney in early 2010, I developed an addiction to climbing rock, ice, and exploring the outdoors”. For such a short time in this game, Vitaliy has a pretty impressive checklist including completing the Sierra Challenge, Mt. Denali, first ascent of The Fortress via Siege (IV 5.10c A0), winter ascent of Mithril Dihedral (III 5.10) on Mt. Russell, the Beckey Chouinard on South Howser Tower, Cleopatra’s Needle WI5, North Ridge of Mt. Stuart in a day and most recently Lurking Fear on El Capitan (VI 5.7 C2).

Vitaliy’s presentation will showcase his trip in 2012 to the Bugaboos in British Columbia, Canada, which he coins his dream vacation. He will also show us some of his other climbing accomplishment from ice to alpine. “I would like to share some of my stories and hopefully encourage others to get out and explore our beautiful continent for themselves.”

Musiyenko* :)

Also, just added The Nose to my resume! Might include a few pictures from that if anything turned out. Will try to mix stuff from Sierra into this presentation as well...don't be too hard on me, I can be a bit shy in front of crowds! :)

Just don't call him Musiyenkova or late for dinner, pravilno?

There was a young bloke named Musiyenko
who lived in the town of San Josenko.
He started to climb
as a way to unwind
and got bigger than Zhenya Yevtushenko!

Congratulations on your Nose climb, Mister MusiyenKO.

Have to get you up Point Beyond soon, it sounds like you're ready at last and we are all just aghast at how you are shredding the icons.

It was far from a superhero slideshow, and not my first. But it went great. Lot's of nice people at RIM Club. Hope they had fun and liked it. Was nice meeting everyone, and will see you guys again (speakers get a free membership card!).

Thanks Vitaliy.

It was a great presentation and not any heckling. I'm sure if the audience knew one of his climbing partners is Burchey, then the heckling would have been all time. ;)
