You're right Neebee. Until today I had always known the impact Billy left with me but not with my family. Not till my husband asked for updates every hour, not till my kids wanted to write letters.

My five year old drew a picture but she's sleeping with it so ill have to take a pick of it when I can sneak it away.

Fish Finder, I will meet you at the party with a big smile on my face :). We have so much to celebrate about his life.

For anyone following this thread, please look at the thread nita linked to:

http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/896856/Im-Bummed

It was by Billy in July of 2009, posted the day after Bachar died. That hit him hard, as it did to everyone in the climbing community.

If you get a chance to get beyond the amazing series of photographs - and go through the pages cause he posted so many gorgeous shots - read the whole thing. There's a lot of emotion in it. in the posts beyond the photos. You'll get to know the Billy we all knew and loved. With special appearances by me, jaybro, locker, Mister E and neebee among others. Four years ago this summer.

Neebee you truly are the best and most caring person I know. Just a random well wish to him and thoughts added to a two year old thread. You're such a sweetheart.

We both already notified our work that we will be not showing up for duties some day this...

the time was kinda vague but the importance was imbued: Come Hell or High Water was the general sentiment.

That was beautiful Erret.

Weeg, the Sibelius Symphony is balm for the soul.

Right now, there is a stunning, huge half moon setting in the west. Immediately made me think it was something Blitzo would capture, brilliantly. Said a little prayer and sent him some energy.

The sailing is clear from here.

Peace,
Eric

I can't help but remember what my ex's mother said as she was dying of cancer: "The lucky ones have heart attacks."

Thursday AM update:

Dude is still the Mack.

Susan had them drag a bed in there and remove the two torture chairs that we have been hanging out in the last couple days. Locker did an overnight in one of the chairs... I think they were for restraining patients. They were more like "CrazyBoy" instead of "LazyBoy". Anyway, Sooze aka Mother Sandrisa, pulled about a 43 hours shift and just went to go get a coffee. Locker is back from some restless slumber and is manning the post.

The Mack is still resting or whatever you want to call it and running a bit of a fever that they are treating. Friends are still filtering in and out. The staff is great and doing a very good job.

Fish, Locker, Susan and all the rest of you, keep it up.

Blitzo is so luckey to have all of you around, sharing your love with him.

Errett, that is a great testament. Billy talks about you all the time. And how could he not with all the adventures and good times you shared for so many years?

It's always a story here and there, but I never got the "big picture" of the long and full friendship you had for so many years until that post. Thanks for that.

Damit man, are you serious. I am just now seeing this. I had not checked on this thread in a couple days, man this really bums me out. Blitzo seamed like such a cool cat, wish I would have had the pleasure of meeting the man. Very sorry for your loss to all the close fiends and family of Blitzo. Hope your doing alright Locker, Fluoride, Susan, Russ. Another one gone wayyyy to soon. May you be in the best place possible Billy. Will miss your humor around here, there were so many great pictures you still had in you, but you took so many good ones that will last a lifetime.

Edit: There is one last awesome act Billy has done for us. He brought us all together, I am so stoked to see how everyone can put all the stupid OT crap to the side and come together and rejoice in Blitzos life. Thanks Blitzo!! you are da man.

Edit again: Apperantly I was one of the ones that thought Blitzo had passed, I apologize, I was under the impression he had left us from the posts I read. Keep up the fight Blitzo, stay with us.
