I first met Billy climbing in the valley in the mid 80s. Will never forget hanging out Billy, Cid, and I at Tenaya Lake Campground or the wild dance parties in the lodge parking lot listening to Morris Day. We have been friends a long time. Billy is one of the few people I know that can tolerate my crazy family, recently he helped me pull my sister's car out of a ditch. You should have seen the look on his face as the car teetered on the edge of the embankment with him behind the wheel and me towing it with my 4x4. He survived that epic adventure now I need him to pull through this as well. I am going to see Billy on Monday if anyone wants to join me

Steve and I stopped in to visit Billy at the hospital today. He's totally the Blitzo we all know and love. Will be undergoing chemo/radiation in a few days but could be home as early as next week. He's really looking forward to getting out of the hospital and being back home in JT.
He appreciates everyone's well wishes.

Der Blooter is supposed to get his first radiation treatment tomorrow.
Just saw him tonight for a couple hours and he is doing ok, aside from suffering from an overdose of Bonanza re-runs on the TV. Still weak and can't really walk more than a couple steps, but PT says he is getting stronger.
Lots of friends came to visit last week, many from very far away, and he was still stoked about that and to see everyone, so thanks everyone for keeping his spirits up.

At the hospital with Blitzo. He just left to go down to get a CAT scan in order to determine where they will target the radiation treatments. AmandaANGEL is going to record what the docs say when and if they ever get in here to give me the scoop.
He's crazy weak, lost a ton of weight, but he is moving around with a lot more agility...
Goal is to come up with a discharge plan and home health care stuff...
