Hi Gian, I am doing pretty darn good. I had a fantastic day of relaxing yesterday. I did an hdr edit;

Early spring in vancouver;

Caught up on some of my tv shows, and hung out with my friends Kyle, Nina and Heather when they stopped by and made dinner for me and Sandra! My buddy Rick came over too!

Then a nice HOT shower unlike any i have had since i left VGH which was super sweet, and a restful sleep in my bed, although i guess i still woke up too many times for Sandra...

Today should be fun too, a bunch of friends are coming over tonight to say hi. All are welcome but it's a pretty small venue so it should be interesting. I think we are going to have to hold my official welcome home shindig at the pub in squamish or something as there will be more room there.. Dunno, tba.

I tried to find a lamp shade for that beautiful lamp Weeg but no luck so far (Red Cross or the Re-Use It Centre failed to meet our needs!). Haven't had time to make another Walmart stop and the last time i was there i was trying to find an anti-slip bathtub mat for Mike and forgot to look for a shade...plus i wanted to go to the thrift store first...which I've now done, without much success.

Question: Does it need a type of shade that attaches directly to the lightbulb itself or one that attaches to the post??

And it was a GLORIOUS treat to come home after a hard day of work to my OWN house and have dinner cooked by someone else!!! THANK YOU NINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're amazing! :) I ate too many of those cookies though! haha. HOpefully I can find a way to give back to you and Kyle sometime soon!

Oh and Neebs.... THANK YOU for the beautiful earrings which brightened my day. I wore them yesterday. :)

have a good day everyone!!

I've been thinking about that lamp. It looks so good. No pressure, here, but ultimately it should get a shade that looks like a cloud, or such suitable companionship. I remember a phase my family went through making lampshades out of balsa wood and paper. Don't wanna burn stuff down, of course, and for now any shade that grips the bulb sounds better than none. I don't know if poor little old me will come up with a good idea, but I can point out the obvious, at least.

Big Mike, good to see ya yesterday!

Before anyone gets too concerned or the drs see this an boot him outta the clinic I should say that Mike is about 20' away from the car & belaying thru the shot holes in the rock next to him so no impact on that big ol spine of his!

Take Jefe up on that offer Mike. The Stronghold is one of the best cragging venues in North America.

Maybe you can drag him with you Ghost?

Some chickenhead hiking/glory climbing could be just what the doctor ordered come October.
