I personally like to vary my swimming speed between fast, medium, and slow, on a more or less lap-to-lap basis. The Endless Pool would not work for this. It is also not conducive to different strokes and the different speeds they offer, unless stopping every time to adjust the pool.
Hi moosedrool, I noticed you were considering an Endless Pool. One option that our customers love is the opportunity to try a pool before they buy, to make sure it is a good fit. If you're able to give us a call at 866-558-7946, we'd be happy to set you up with a local demonstrator. You would be able to swim in an Endless Pool and ask any questions you may have, etc.
What is the cost comparison compared to a lap pool? Not that I have the money at the moment, check with me tomorrow night after I win the EuroMillions, or the following Tuesdays and Fridays for the coming future. It's gotta happen, otherwise Jennie and I will live in one of my tents.
Not holding my breath (maybe in a pool) but fingers crossed. Though it is a challenge to swim with fingers crossed.
My experience in building estates has lead me to believe that like tennis courts and similar recreative facilities, an endless pool will not get used after a short while unless someone is getting physical therapy or recovering somehow in the pool. The thing will just sit there and cost you.
I get you Peter, cheaper to just join the fitness centre at the Royal Marine (actually, just had to give up our membership, tough times for many, including us).
But still, when I win the EuroMillions Lottery (it's going to happen, just don't ask me what decade), is one of these pools more efficient than a lap pool?
