So awesome! I have a hard time believing it's the "last" great problem in Antarctica though. Then again, I've never been.

Beautiful line indeed.

Houlding and Leary had planned to BASE jump from the peak, but were forced to change plans due to the weather.
bummer

That picture looks so surreal!

Thanks

The 2006 Caspersen / Tollefsen / Gravdal / Hilde line looks interesting. All good though.

... and reached the summit on January 23 in minus 35C temperatures and high winds. It took two days for the team to descend, stripping fixed gear and ropes.

It sounds cold.

Haven't people learned that the phrase "last great problem of.....," when used, makes the user look.....you choose

would love to see some footage outta there.

Like their Asgard Project. good stuff!

Too bad they couldn't pull the BASE but it makes me happy to hear that they had the sense to not jump when conditions weren't killer.

like it says in Freedom of the Hills, "experience refines judgement"

more adventures to come!

I see some killer lines to the right of the Norwegian route, but what is a nonpolitical thread doing on ST?
