Tell me about it! Now I need a steady job and stuff...
Are my paycheck to paycheck days of hedonism coming to a close? Quite possibly. She is too damn hot to pass up.
Ron, you know not of what you speak. This has been going on for two years.

A move to California is in the works...
Phone calls and email only go so far, I'm headed back down to Panama to visit next month. Never done a long distance relationship before, it's kinda weird.

Never anger a Colombian woman- . My son's teacher is Colombian and gave me that advice. The Secret Service found out the hard way.

Colombianas are more affectionate than gringas, and overall I think would be less complicated because Colombian society is less complicated. Basically, people are laid back and not worried about much and generally only have a vague idea what time it is. From their perspective we're really wound up and make them nervous too. Also the social networking there is much more integral to the society. If you want to get your plumbing fixed, you would never look up plumbers in the phone book, you'd ask your friends, and there's a whole currency of referrals like that. I have to tell you that I dont like Colombian food but its probably like what you get in Panama. In fact the culture in Panama is really the same as in the northern coastal part of Colombia where my office is. We are about 20-30 miles from the border but there are no roads and its controlled by the FARC guerrillas. It's called the Darien Gap. I've never made the trip and doubt I ever will.

Hey Arne, I shared a photo.
Jim, yeah, life doesn't exist on a straight line for sure. It's crazy what we encounter sometimes.
Edit; Don Paul, this is from a NZ DJ, but I think it captures the music scene in Panama perfectly...

Give it a few minutes if you like electronic music at all.
