I guess we didn't follow (un)Happiegrrrl's rules as directed because she just deleted the "petition Cmac to bring back t*r" thread.

It's just more drama. Post, delete, post under a different name, DOS attack, seek support from others, petition, delete, DOS attack again, post under a different name, and various permutations of same for years it seems.

It's really pretty simple. We should all be grateful to Cmac for creating this space. Out of gratitude we should respect his rules. If you don't like the rules, shove off. It's a big internet out there. Go play in someone else's sandbox.

Above all, stop whining.

OK, now I will stop whining too.

PTTP summed it up rather well on another (since deleted) thread:

In an unmoderated forum like McTopo, it is very hard - if well on nigh impossible - to "cross the line" and actually get yourself banned.

So what did she do?

Here you have the instance of a grown woman, age 30 plus or minus a year, who continued for years to publish thousands upon thousands of tiresome off topic posts under a variety of different user names. A quick check under her multiple personalities would reveal something in the order of twenty, thirty or perhaps even fifty thousand non-climbing posts. Perhaps 2% of the entire climbing forum taken up by one annoying person?

She does not climb, or at least couldn't do so when taken out by a few well-intentioned but later sorry forum members. Yet why does a non-climber continue to hang around a climbers' forum? This is an enduring mystery. Are there not any number of other internet forums available to people like her? Maybe she could go join the erstwhile Lois=LEB someplacee else? Someplace else very far away.

Equally irksome, she repeatedly tried to the play the "underage card" well into her 20's every time she wrote something incredibly stupid. This despite an apparent university education.

So clearly, you can be an incompetent climber, an idiot, and can clutter the forum with crap for years on end, yet none of these things was enough to get her banned. So what did she do this time?

It's called vandalism, but even the vandalism on its own was insufficient keep her banned. What Tessa did to finally nail her coffin shut was to conspire with others - or at least she attempted to do so - to have these others join her in her vandalism of Chris' website forum.

Tessa did this by emailing a number of forum members, encouraging them to "plant nuke bombs" in the forum posts. For those of you who don't know what a "nuke bomb" is [it was a new term to me too], it's a hotlink to a huge image or file that is placed directly into the forum post with the intention of rendering the post unreadable, and eating up the server's bandwidth. It is highly effective.

Imagine if I were to put a gigantic 30meg image 5000 pixels wide and tall here in this post? If it would ever load onto your computer, you wouldn't be able to read the post because of the gigantic image I put in the way. Or how about a link to a virus? I do knott specifically recall how large Tessa's "nuke bomb" images were, or what they were precisely.

At any rate, if I recall correctly, she "nuke bombed" not only the boob thread, but also the squirrel thread. It happened kind of fast, and I only caught some of it. But it appeared as though someone in admin deleted the nukes, but then only minutes later she nuke bombed the boob thread again. [Aside: I was a big fan of the boob thread so this is how I noticed what was going on, however I am only a big fan of little boobs.]

It is probable that at this point, she was banned. But after being banned on her t*r user name, Tessa immediately created a new account which was t*r2, and then she started not one but two separate threads mocking admin and the forum. That account - t*r2 - was promptly banned.

I am unsure of the exact timeline here, but it appears that when she no longer had access to the forum having been locked out, Tessa = t*r = standing strong = toulomne*rainbow [sic] = t*r2 emailed others and asked them to conspire with her to bring down the forum. In her email, which she distributed to an unknown number of users, she offered to provide "nuke bomb" links that other users could hotlink onto forum posts. It's one thing to be banned, it's another thing altogether to attempt to induce others to seek retribution when you are no longer able to do so yourself.

I could post up the text of one of her emails that reached me, although I will not reveal who sent it to me. No doubt many others receieved these emails, and could also post them up.

That's why she was banned, and I don't believe you'll ever see her back.

Well, I may be sorry for posting here, but I just have to say I love this forum and I support those that are in charge of it. I've taken my hits here, but overall it has been a super experience. Suggestion.... Love it, make it better if you disagree, or leave it. Applies to much in life I guess.

There are Thread topics and people we agree and disagree with. That's life too.

Wonder if higher education is losing it's ability to help people logically process and problem solve or is it people just not making an effort to grow in that skill area? Best to all, whatever you think. lynne

I am still a bit in the dark over this whole matter as I did not see the thread that she allegedly nuked or the abusive thread to the admin/moderator.

If PTTP's post is correct then...

But Brandon says otherwise.

I am confused. I need a drink or a valium after reading this thread and the deleted bring back t*r thread.

Binary is not really decodable unless you have the compiled

upon what's in between.

Ive requested my own accounts here to be deleted and they won't.

Why is criminal larceny allowed here? Is their warning that
access times out causing lack of access to ones own post? If
so my view and opinion is that its criminal larceny when a
request is made to remove a account or post after the person
posting request such.

Not everyone likes big boobs — for example, North Korea
Published January 28, 2013
GlobalPost
SEOUL, South Korea — That's right. Large-breasted women are so discriminated against in North Korea they try to shrink or hide their boobs in order to boost their social standing, according to the South Korean daily JoongAng Ilbo as cited by Korea watcher Robert Koehler.
North Korea's patriarchal society apparently views nature's generosity with suspicion, defectors told JoongAng Ilbo.
The bigger your breasts, the more likely you'll be considered a slut, the women reportedly said, because you're seen as strutting your stuff — as if morality determines that development. Imagine their shock when they escape to find themselves the envy of all their smaller-breasted friends. What? Big boobs are good?
GlobalPost's senior correspondent for East Asia, Geoffrey Cain, says that North Korea is trailing behind trends that are more popular elsewhere in the region.
As Asia gets wealthier, bigger and cosmetically enhanced breasts are coming in vogue.
"Boob jobs" are popular in South Korea, where the people are the most cosmetically enhanced in the world, Cain said, who is based in Seoul, and they're also becoming a hot item for the new affluent women of China, Vietnam and Indonesia.
But North Korea hasn't gone that far yet, although plastic surgery is not uncommon among the upper-class women of Pyongyang.
Cain reports:
The desire for small breasts is a form of chastity in this conservative and male-dominated society. North Koreans take pride in their culture being supposedly pure and untainted by the evils of Western capitalism, a charge that they always lob at their southern cousins.
In Koehler's account of the Korean-language report:
One defector from Hoeryong said she had a work friend with large breasts who often ate chives because she’d heard they make your boobs smaller. She added that she was surprised upon learning that women in the South actually have operations to make their breasts bigger.
The isolationist nation is known for wild propaganda efforts, but this is a real head-shaker. Life is tough enough in North Korea as it is — leave the breasts alone!
Geoffrey Cain contributed to this report from Seoul.

I don't understand this 'passion' for boobs. Or butts, legs, etc.

To me, the way a woman carries herself, how she walks and talks, is more important than sexual features. How she treats people.

How she treats people.

Spell the word "she" without the"s" and you get to the crux of why a lot of people were upset over the entire debacle.

And Philo - Not sure why you were so sure that article should be posted, unless your intent was to say something like "There are more societies which see a woman as an object and not an equal human being that the Supertopo one!

Perhaps this article(Onion) would put it into perspective...

Teenage Girl Blossoming Into Beautiful Object

ARLINGTON, TX—Calling the transformation both delightful and stunning, friends and family members confirmed Tuesday that 17-year-old Ashley Parker was blossoming into an absolutely gorgeous object.

According to Parker’s relatives, in the span of 14 months, the high school junior underwent a staggering metamorphosis from a young girl with thoughts, feelings, and aspirations into a truly stunning commodity.

“Ashley has really developed into quite a striking assemblage of physical attributes that are found to be sexually attractive in our culture,” said Parker’s uncle Keith Hayes, expressing astonishment at how his niece had steadily matured from a precocious youth into a shapely, ravishing thing devoid of intellect and personality. “It’s hard to believe that she used to be that little girl [capable of subjective experiences] that I remember. Now look at her—she’s such a lovely vessel for displaced sexual frustration and voyeuristic lust, just like her mother.”

“Seems like just yesterday she was this creative 7-year-old kid, pretending her Barbie was the first woman president,” Hayes added. “My, they grow into little more than consumer goods so quickly.”

Marveling at the rite of passage that all females make from girlhood into entirely disempowered objecthood, Hayes expressed confidence that the 17-year-old would one day become a highly prized physical possession for “one lucky guy.”

Parker’s classmates at Wakefield High School were also reportedly captivated by the adolescent’s transition from a young woman into an eye-catching repository for male gratification. High school senior Kevin Turner said that Parker had become a particularly alluring instrument of purely physical pleasure in the months since she was a young, conscious, independent preteen girl.

“I grew up with Ashley and never thought much of her before, but over the last year or so, I really started to see her for the beautiful little piece of equipment she is,” said Turner, expressing enthusiasm for how the teen had evolved into a dazzling sexual apparatus. “I’m thinking of asking that mere receptacle to prom.”

“Take a look at it,” added Turner of the former human being. “I can think of a lot of things I’d like to do with that.”

Edmund Powell, Parker’s history teacher, echoed the sentiment of many pupils, claiming that he was impressed by the junior’s transformation from an honor roll student and sentient human being into a lovely piece of meat.

“Ashley used to be one of the brightest and best students in my class,” said Powell, recalling the former girl who once consisted of more than a single, surface-deep dimension. “But, wow, now you’d have to say that she’s something very special. Something very special indeed.”

While Parker’s mother Stacey was reportedly certain that her daughter would make a beautiful and unthinkingly gracious trophy someday, the 38-year-old cautioned Ashley not to get her hopes up about finding the perfect money bags right away.

I know why I am posting. I like to read Francine Pascal Sweet Valley High books--a confession I wouldn't normally make, and I believe our little DQ thinks that she is moving through their novel. Hey, that would explain some of her actions, not that I have followed them much, but I recall the fun we had learning how to get all brave.

And the second post in the thread, by Russ, "Christ!"
