Must be true! I wanted to do this line when we were in Cham back in '78. Thought about it again late winter of '11. Thought I knew how to climb ice in '78. I would have shite myself by the looks of it! Likely result in '11 as well. Nice work bitd Todd, by you and Tobin!

Dane, I nearly pooped looking at those pics! We had fatter conditions with perfect styro sticking. No doubt you would have charged right up if you were there when we were.

Fat or thin Todd, that is a proud line in '78 just as it is today. French guide says 85 degrees! On curved gear or terros of course. It was all the "right stuff" bitd. The best lines hold full value for generations. This is obviously one of the best.

We had fatter conditions with perfect styro sticking

Jon's photos continue to amaze me. I got to take some of his food at 14K camp on Denali (in 2011. year after I started hiking/mountaineering) when they were leaving....after setting the new Cassin speed record I believe! Him and his partner were nice guys.

Vitaly: it amazes me what you've done in such a short period of time.
When you get a chance, if you're up for it please go to my "Rewind: Life Without Climbing?" thread and kick something out for us.
