Hi there,
Heading out to the valley in May and looking to buy a haul bag. Lots cheaper over in the US and would love some kind soul to sell one and ship to Scotland.
Any takers or other suggestions?
Ideally a metolius el cap or a BD Zion.

Thanks
Graham

Going to the Valley in May?
WTF do you need it shipped to Scotland for. Hell, that would cost you more than I was going to charge for this vintage Fish bag . . .

Buy it off Fish now so he has time to Mfg it, and ask him to drop ship it into the US post office in Yosemite before you get there. They'll hold it for you. He did it for a ledge fly for me once and I've heard of others doing it. Worked great.

So, as we do every year, FISH will be mostly shut down until sometime in very late February. If you want anything, you must email us first to see if we are even around. You can still place orders for a delivery in March or later, and we would encourage you to do so. Get them orders in early so we can plan production and get the stuff out the door in time for your Spring and Summer plans. See you in 2013!

El Cap is only 900 meters high....you just need a hydration pack and some power bars.

No real Scot would buy a bag and have it shipped to Scotland only to turn
around and bring it back here.
Buy the Fish and pick it up here. Bob's yer uncle.

Thanks for all the advice. Already got some aiders from FISH but took best part of 6 months so pretty hesitant about doing that at this point.

Was hoping to get the bag over here as we could do with some hauling practice before we go!

Keep the offers of bags for sale coming as that'd be my preference.

pm'd Steve W already.

Watch ebay for a couple weeks, should be able to get one in very good condition for about $75 plus shipping. There were just a few at that price within the last week.

Aye, aye, min!

I have a couple of bags and might rent one for a low price as long as it was not going to be dragged up a slab route! I am in Oregon so not super convenient when it comes to the Valley.

Otherwise I would add that haul bags are BIG and BULKY and shipping costs can be half of what you might pay for a used bag.

Here's tae us, wha's like us? Damned few an' they're a' deid

With the propensity to drink on that misty isle and the costs of adult beverages back there.....it's hard to see how you can be both Scottish and poor.

Here's a nice ledge and fly. I doubt you will get it for the listed price of $250 though.
