Hi there,
Heading out to the valley in May this year from Scotland and apart from the usual goals (north west face of half dome, the nose etc) we were hoping to try something a wee bit more aid heavy. With that in mind we were looking to lay our hands on a double portaledge to hire or buy very cheap.

Any advice, suggestions or offers appreciated.

Thanks
Graham

hey monkey,
i have a ledge you can borrow. it is an old (early 90's) fish ledge. i bought it off a friend last year, and have not set it up yet. it has only been up a couple of walls, so is in good shape. i will be in the valley in may. send me an email, and i will get it to you or you can pick it up in e.p.

$300 is super cheap for an A5 double ledge and fly, grab it or someone else will, 24 hrs left. (Im not selling it, I just like to waste time on ebay)

What would be a good price for the A5 with fly? New from BD would be $950 from what I can see online.

The rule of thumb for just about everything on ebay is that if its in "like new" condition, people will pay about 1/2 of the best price they can find for a new one. I paid a little over $400 (plus about $50 shipping) for a metolious double bomb shelter with fly, in perfect condition with no wall wear, that lists for $1300. I got a really good deal because I got lucky and no one else was bidding. So, I'd say the A5 is probably worth about $500. If you really need to save money, wait for a beat up one to get listed. This one looks like new.
