A little bouldering by a little 22 month old. No top rope, no spot (that I could see), but rewards along the way.

Assuming this video is not faked, this is suggestive of reincarnation. Maybe Mike Reardon, John Bachar, or someone else of lesser stature perhaps, but at least a climber of sorts from a past life. Maybe Chuck Pratt, or Bob Kamps, or Frank Sacherer?

Of course, the child may have just watched adults do it, then imitated, but man, he or she is precocious!!

Got to be almost like throwing a baby into water?
Pretty decent form; though I usually don't break out the diapers unless I tie on a cord!

To a kid, it's as natural as walking and a hell of a lot more fun!

I like the reincarnation idea. Little guy has Kamps moves and head from what I can tell, but of course I'm a little biased from climbing with him so long. Note the thinking ahead evident in some moves.

There's another thread on when the Nose will be free-soloed. Maybe this kid is the answer at, say, 12-14, when some of us are still alive. Fingers might fit just fine under the Great Roof about then.

I still think Dad and Mom should put a top rope on him or lead rope and get him clipping!

That post made my day, Tom. Thanks for sharing it.

Could this be your Johnny climbing the Chrome Moly Cube in a few years?
