Bummer Lollie. I'd seen the topic a few days ago and have been crafting a fantastic post from my "inner Walter Mitty"

LOL!
Would've loved to see that one. :-) Shall I recreate the OP to give you the opportunity?

But ONLY if I could lock it to one added post only - your Walter Mitty. :-)

It looks like Dr. F asked the admin to remove him. Which appears to mean that any thread he started completely disappears. Which is different from just deleting the first post. I can't find any of my posts to Dr. F's republican thread.

"I can't find any of my posts to Dr. F's republican thread."

I don't know, Paul. I may need to work during normal business hours now, which strikes me as decidedly inferior to the entertainment of Craig's topics.

He had a good heart, I'm sure we all wish him well. The question which gets raised is this: Did Craig do himself in, or did a mod finally decide that maybe there should be less of that kind of thing and more climbing kind of thing. If a mod did him in, he doesn't get on the list. If it was like Lollie, who had it done for her (account deleted and all posts gone) but then felt the draw of arguing dumb things with us dumb Americans (adroit use of a Wernerism:-) and thus returned, then he makes the list. Right?

Or- (the alternative scenario with no Old Yeller in the film would be......)

It appears that Craig finally wised up and decided that it was DEMOCRATS that were being the bitches, so he deleted all his posts and went off to join the "Ted Cruz for President/Sarah Palin for Veep" campaign. Well, that's a possible explanation anyway.

 This is the worst part.

But, its not like I ever said anything worth remembering....

Of course as couchmaster has so masterfully demonstrated. Most of the deleted threads can be resurrected by nearly anyone with the time and inclination.
So if by deleting your thread you're hoping to bury what you have posted......not really.

I just reviewed Lollie's deleted thread which was the most entertaining and enlightening of the lot. I found it particularly odd that she deleted it as she has a pretty thick skin.

Perhaps one should be required to write a 50 word essay which cannot be deleted in order to delete a thread.(insert facetious wink and grin here) And then you can't delete the thread itself before a 7 day cooling off period?

As if deleting your own thread is a big deal? I don't get why anyone's knickers are in a twist.

I AM curious about Dr F's disappearance.

Disconnection policy. Dr. F became a Scientologist.

HT.. what I believe is that Dr. F asked to have his account deleted. What that does is remove all of his posts.

Plus it removes entirely all of the threads he started. So it is different from just deleting ones first post to a thread. Try to find the old Republican thread. Or Craigs thread on cactus. They don't exist anymore. If you find any of your old posts on those threads, let me know. Maybe I have it wrong. But I bet that I don't.
