This brings a smile to my face, Dean. So happy for you and your pup.
I am also happy to read Ron's post and see that at least some people still know their "heels" from their "heals." I wince every time I see the wrong word used.

Made it home to be with Cush.....he has been failing, and we have come to terms with helping him on his way...

Vet coming to the house tomorrow at 4.

Til then.....not leaving his side.

So, so sorry to hear this, Dean. Amazing that he rebounded the way he did from earlier this year, though.

No doubt he is in the safest, most loving place he can be at this time. Peace to all of you right now.

I hope he stays comfortable through the night, for both your sakes. Our dogs stand vigil over us they're entire lives. To be able to do the same for them at this time of need is the least we can do in return.

Peace for both of you.

Wishing you the best Dean. Cush was lucky to have had you and yours for so many years. I'm sure you feel the same of your pup....

I'm sure it's been said but remember, all dogs go to heaven, whatever their idea of heaven might be.

I had my golden at the beach chasing the ball in the surf at sunset tonight. That's his idea of heaven. He's almost eleven and it breaks my heart to even think of him passing.

My heart and thoughts are with you Dean, and Cush too. Such a good dog.

Hi Dean...
My thoughts and vibes are with you and the family... and sweet Cush ... always.

Recall all the wet nose days and doggie smiles as you help your best buddy ease into the next stage of his existence.

Peace and love to you. ~LM

Layed on the mudroom floor with Cush for 5 hours since getting home today....

Credit: Cragman

...now have moved him into the greatroom where we both can be more comfortable.

Our very good friend Anne Harslem stopped by a while ago to see Cush, and brought him two bones from Tailwaggers in Mammoth....bones mixed with bacon grease....and the boy came around and gobbled those down!!!!

He is refusing water though. He is comfortable, and seems to have as many tears in his eyes as we do....
