Heyo, I can keep your dying heart beating, but I cant do a simple thing on my mac. Trying to download a bunch of music from itunes onto a flash drive to send to a buddy deployed in afghanistan. How the hell, it asks for a format and i have no idea. He'll probably be using a PC to download, but not sure what machine he'll be using. I want to send it in a format that can be downloaded onto his itunes, wherever that may be.
Seems like Im hung up just knowing the format based on what I want to do above. Thanks in advance, a special forces group will be happier when I get some music sent their way.
Most Flash Drives are FAT when you buy them so you might not need to format the drive.
If you choose to: open Disk Utility, select your Flash Drive, click on Erase, select Format: MS-DOS (FAT).
You can move your files real fast if you can find them on your hard drive. They are kinda hidden. Depending on your OS & version of iTunes, you'll find them in a nest of folders like this one:
