Nice Banquo. Did you convert a camera to near IR? I've read some write-ups on how to turn a point & shoot camera into an IR camera. (though I don't think they were technically infra red)

Did you convert a camera to near IR?

Yes. A few years ago I converted a point and shoot using a a tiny piece of 35mm film as a filter. A piece of the overexposed film from the winding tail that is completely black when it comes back from the developer. Results were hit and miss mostly because the focus was off.

I had an old DSLR so I converted that. I bought the near IR filter on Ebay for $100 and did it myself. The focus is a little off but it is pretty good. I've loaned the camera to a friend and may never see it again.

It is a good rainy day project to convert a camera. If you want to try, I'd suggest searching the internet for instructions for disassembly of a cheap point and shoot, then buy that one and go for it.

Wow great pics!

Capt. where is that arch? Also like the Roadside soloing shot, just down the street from me. With this wet weather I bet it's getting fatter.

The arch deal is Gossamer in the SoDak Needles. The Roadside shot was from two seasons ago. That was the fattest I'd ever seen that. It'd be nice if was like that again. You should go scope that stuff up behind Double Eagle. Good stuff when it comes in. Cheers.
