The thread that keeps on giving. It was a pleasure catching up on all these new pages.
@ Reilly, Just saw your comment from several pages back. The Mt goats were hanging out next to Grinnell Glacier in Glacier NP. I live near the park so that is were most of my wildlife shots come from. Thanks for checking it out.

I was the oldest of 7 kiddos. My Daddo was an M.D. but was in the profession to cure not make the $$$$$ Believe it or not there were many Doc's back in the day that were like minded.
Anyway, we had not much money for vacations so my stellar parents took all 7 of us camping and backpacking. Mom made our first tent and much of our backpacking food.
Mum spent several weeks arranging all the food, gear and clothing and who would carry what. We spent some memorable times in the Eastern Sierra. lynnie

Lynnie, that is some serious logistical planning on your Mom's part! With just two kids camping/backpacking (and soon to be three... wait minute four with my oldest!) it is a huge workout just to get out the door. So I really appreciate what she did.
My mother-in-law did the same (for a pop-up tent trailer) for four kids going to national parks all over the country for weeks at a time. She said she enjoyed the challenge. We also think this may have driven her insane. :-) But maybe that's just the four kids part on its own! We often say to her, "HOW DID YOU DO IT?????" Ha ha!
What I love about this thread is that it's self-perpetuating. Something about seeing a post that blows you away and just makes you want to contribute yourself.

hey there say, all.. due to this last few months of dial up being just so slow, i miss out on a lot of stuff here now...
and sadly, these neat pictures!!...
i fially pushed myself to sit it out here and glad i did, at least for this page, this morning...
