Bitchen yeller lichen land, isn't it?

I'd like to think I recognize the Needles, but it's been twenty-nine years or so since I walked that trail.

Haha, sorry mouse those are the Eagle Beaks of Shuteye. Pretty close to Merced if you ever would like to check it out. Does look like the Needles.

For diving, I think she could hold her breath longer if she didn't tense up so much.

When was that Eagle Beaks Shuteye picture taken, i.e. are they free of snow now?
I posted the following on the birds page.
I just took it during a recent cold snap with a long lens from Seattle. It shows Willis Wall,
and our on Reilly has one of the few(?) ascents of it.
I never quite understood where the route went, though.

Darwin, they are free of snow, but the Forest Service gates are closed. Won't open again till May. We've done it in winter but it's a hike, unless you snowmobile in.

Darwin, easy peasy route-finding - just follow the buttress enveloped in 'snow'...

As for the number of ascents I can think of 6 or 7, but there must be more.
I suspect some people are ashamed to admit to being so stoopid.
