^^^^WTF is wrong with people?!
Why some people get enjoyment out of torturing innocent animals. I've seen this since I was a kid, so its nothing new. But, seriously some people literally seem to get enjoyment in this way! Is it the power or what. Yeah, we live in a sick society.

I really feel bad for the pup. It is obviously a good dog that is feeling very lost, alone and in danger of it's life and sadly knows it. Poor, sweet, baby...

Breaks my heart and also gives me hope. He obviously didn't turn vicious from the abuse and will bloom with proper care. He'll take a bit time to feel safe and accepted but I am sure once that happens, wham... Yeah, he'll have the title of best dog EVER. Wish someone will have room and love for him. The vet clinic will take care of his medical needs so all there is a need for is the basics that every living thing deserves.

saw this on FB, poor thing. Sure wish I could help.

When I was 10 or so, I heard cats squalling just ahead of me in a culvert. I ran up to see, and was horrified to see 2 boys tying the cats tails together and then slinging them over a power line! I rushed them immediately, yelling at the top of my lungs but I was too late. Both cats tails got de-gloved. I beat the holy hell out of those boys, crying, throwing rocks at them, hit one on the head, lucky I did not kill them. I don't think one of them ever touched me, they were running for their lives.
Very traumatic, cried uncontrollably for hours, even after I got home and told my Mom.

Adopted a cat that had been set on fire with lighter fluid. She was found 80% burned, including her teats, and she was nursing kittens. The kittens died, the poison in her from being so badly burned. Unbelievably she was the sweetest thing ever and loved people, especially kids, and it was again boys who did this to her. She died from skin cancer about 10 years later.

Society is sick.

Thanks guys... I feel the same way.

All we need is one taker. One savior. Just one super awesome person. I hope by the end of the day this happens.

I understand 10b4me... Take your time. Your heart knows when it's right.

Sadly when I saw the picture, I recognize the body language and it's screaming for help and kindness. It hit me to the core. I know this dog would be right for us except for the fact we don't have the stability it needs to heal. We are in between positions and until we have a clue, I have no right to take this on. The last thing this dog needs is to be moved around a whole lot and challenged by our Loki Alpha. Loki will be getting nervous from the moves so she might react by being territorial. He doesn't need another rejection because of outside circumstances.

Yes, I know dogs. When I say he has all the ear marking of being AWESOME. I mean it. Malamutes are very smart and independent, when they adopt into a family, it's a loyalty that can't be compared. He is going to take TIME to feel safe again, but when he does, you will be his everything.

"Giggling..." People can never be as loyal as dogs. You outgrow your people which dogs never do. :)

I find it quite interesting and more than a bit disturbing especialy on this site how dogs get treated much much better than people. The recent thread about Peru is a perfect example...

For one BIG reason is no one here is asking for money. In fact the dog's vet bills are already covered. Second... You really think people trying to get their stolen stuff compensated is in the same category as finding a home for this abused dog? Really? I don't see how it even relates. Third... The dog being in dire straits is obvious. Those folks on the other hand were out of danger and just wanted to get stuff back, paid tickets home, and the guy wants some dental work and his truck fixed. Nothing life threatening and... In fact nothing they can not do on their own with a little elbow grease and time. Yes, what they went through was bad but that's over.

Lastly they knew driving in South America can involve danger. They met it fully knowing, choosing that risks. Trust me a dog has no such power, no such ability.

This dog can not help itself. Most likely will die if it remains in the same situation. Those folks on the other hand might suffer a bit of an economic set back, but they will recover. If they can save up for such a trip in such a set up camper truck, they can save up to help themselves.

Yes I am telling you they need to suck it up.

If no one has taken him yet I might be able to. I need more info on his disposition and how he gets along with other dogs. He looks like a great dog. Just have to figure out if he'd get along with my ten year old golden. Might be good for the two of them to keep each other company.

What I said has little to do with the details of the peru thing. It has everything to do with the attitude. The compasion for people is extreemly conditional and close to non existant yet the compasion for a dog is unconditional..

People and especially women treat their dog on average much better than their spouse. In fact most women are nicer to a complete strangers dog or a stray dog than they are to their significant other. You think it's funny. I see it as one of the major flaws with our society.

You should ask my spouse about that. :) I think he will give the best answer.
