I can basically see the Riverside Quarry from my office, and can see the N. Wonderland from my backyard. Closest from my front door to having boot on rock...probably Indian Cove, ~15min.

At my place in California it's the "DMZ Zone" (EDITED: also my beloved GHOST ROCKS)...

Here, it's the front range = Boulder, Golden, Eldo and the likes...(all approx 20-30mins away, or somewhere in that time frame)...

You drive from all the way out there to Riverside to work? I'm so glad I don't live in SoCal anymore.

Nah, I don't commute. I rent a place down here that is a 4min bike ride or 10min walk from the office, and spend weekends out at my place. Luckily I have 3 day weekends every other week. The commute would kill me, about 1:30 each way during commuting hours (~75mi).

People I work with commute daily from as far as Apple Valley and Escondito. But it would only save about $400/mo to commute even using a van pool, and would eat all my free time, just not worth it.

Woodson is 15 minutes away! There's also Mission Gorge and Santee boulders, just a bit further for me. And a few obscure spots thrown in there.

Gunks are 30 min away for me, but many locals live a lot closer than that. Approaches a few minutes to an hour or so.
