Fun day at Apes Wall, got some riding in, some sun and a good pump!
It's a good day when the first day of the year is your first climbing day of the year - woohoo!
It ain't much, but it's free!

More chalk, less choss now Toad.
Apes Wall is the outdoor gym you don't have to pay for that gets real light and has real holds.
Thanks!

I woke up in Jtree on New Year's morning... does that count? Climbed day before in Echo Cove, but first day of the year just ate breakfast with the crew at the campsite and went home to unpack boxes.
I'm an LA local now... a block off of Silver Lake and Sunset. WOO HOO!
After the dust settles I need to figure out the local climbing spots.

Hey Donini-you probably already know this, but try to get to Coyote Tower or Earth Angel Spire-those are great towers to do... Coyote tower is in the sun, I don't remember EAS sun situation.

I've done both of them Gal....great climbs. Supposed to be 60 each day and then......a cold wave.

I don't know if it counts as climbing, but I got some bouldering in today. Turns out a towel doesn't pad landings very well.

Nice looking cracks! Climbing is climbing, limpingcrab - hell, we got our asses kicked top-roping! It's just sad, Bro.
Not saying it has to be the first day of the year climbing, just check in here when you get your first day in.
Keeping an eye on who's actually a climber is my nefarious end.
MWAHAHA!
Another shot, this one of "The Silver Fox"; 60 if he is a day, and floating 5.11+:
(note the lack of grey due to the "Mr. Clean" look - I may have to try this!)

Ok, so technically my first day climbing this year was yesterday, but I didn't have any pics. Since today was my b-day, I spent it surfing in the morning, bouldering this afternoon, and now getting ready to head out for drinks and dinner. Anyway... here's the proof:
