Did the last lap of the year with my son up the local easy 5 pitch route. Shoulders hurt, cold as hell and it rained last night a tad, snowed a bit higher up we could see the snow level right across the river but the sun came out today just for us and no one else was anywhere nearby. Watched a seal blasting salmon out of the river and the birds flying down for the scraps. Lord it's sweet to get a glimpse of sunshine off of the icicles as you blow past them.
Good times, forgot to take any pictures this go round, but here's one from last time.

Today at Echo Cliffs, no-one else was there. What a great finish to the year with the wife, who I haven't climbed with for over a month.
Blessed Be.

I told him last night, I'll blow off work and lets do ANOTHER lap Monday, he was kind of dubious....kid just moseyed by right now and said "dude, I'm so sore, lets put if off" and then he moseyed back to bed....LOL. Looks like I'll head into work.
E, that looks SCHWEET! And warmer too:-)

Right on Bill. I'm surprised Opdyke wasn't up for a lap. I had grand plans for climbing today but woke up to 2" of fresh snow. Looks like a great day for donuts!

My last lap was on skis - up a couple thousand vertical, then down on crusty, thick, post-holed, trenched snow. Looking forward to the first laps in all vertical pursuits...
