Dude, I live in California - either 911 is out due to deferred maintenance or the cops are too busy writing cell phone tickets for the fine money to help cover their pensions!
If someone is following you in a suspicious or intimidating manner, drive to a police station. Park in front. Lean on the horn, flash your lights. If not a police station, a police car.
If you ban assault knives then only bad guy's will have assault knives!
EDIT: I for one am against this ban on assault type knives. Does this make me a hypocrite if want to take your assault rifles but let you keep your knives?Ahh f*#kit who cares?
Dude out in cali is safe though! They have tough laws against assault knives! You can't have them larger than the palm of your hand, they can't be double sided, the laws in cali work!
Just great - now what the hell am I supposed to do with the Ninja Katana, the Aussie Outback Killing Machete and the Renaissance Faire Broadsword I just ordered on Amazon?
I'm sure she did nothing to provoke these people to follow her(sarcasm).
Are you kidding?
Do you normally follow people to their homes when they piss you off after fighting over who goes first in a lane merge? Even when they flip you off, yell nasties through a probably closed window so you are left wondering if they told you to "F*#k Yourself" or yelled "F*#k Off, as#@&%e?" Even when, after swearing at you, tossed a can of soda or Burger King bag filled with crumpled food wrappers out the window?
And that it would be *normal* to go get your buddies when the sons of the person you followed to their home, a woman, come out ready to defend their mother?
And that it is acceptable that that lane battle, yelling and garbage toss would then warrant pulling a knife, beating those sons and punching the woman in the face? Because the way you view life, she somehow "asked for it?"
A friend of mine was walking around DC late one night when a guy walked up to him, pulled out a butter knife and demanded his wallet. Did not end well for the would-be mugger.
Perhaps a different approach in needed in today's society.
Let's consider banning EVERYTHING for a full year after which we can consider which items will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
My MagickUnicornHappyFairie assures me that is we did this - all Mankind would live in peace and harmony forever...okay...maybe just the one's who didn't die in that first year.
