Ron is the sh#t, a super cool cat. My gf Beth and I had a chance to meet Ron a few weeks ago while on a road trip through California. We made a slight detour to see Rons work and say Hi. Can't say enough good things about the man. Super cool, genuine, and laid back. Hope we can rope up and tackle Lone Pine Peak in the near future. Thanks for the hospitality while we were in town.

That is funny Locker. I also had a chance to meet Dean (who was also a very cool guy)in June Lake and he told me how much you guys looked alike. Guess he thought Ron was you at first when he met up with some STers in Reno and Ron showed up.

Pictures of Rons work are cool ,but seeing them in real life gives you...

Ron is one of the people who make this site entertaining...we can't all be the same--that would be boring!! Whatever else Ron is he isn't boring!!

Cheers and Good Luck with business or however else you can make a living and keep doing what you love Ron!!

his spell checking blows. though seems to be getting better.

is politics are all backwards and apparently facts don't really change his view.

He probably spews more than LEB

but he climbs.... and he isn't LEB (or is he?!?!?1111 ;-)

Cheers Ron...

Who else, other than Ron, would know of the explorations of obscure adventurers such as Alvin McClane. Ron, we gotta get back and complete his route this fall.

"his spell checking blows. though seems to be getting better."

That's all a calculated part of his ST persona. When the tone of the thread demands it, I've seen him pen perfectly spelled, punctuated & structured sentences.

The jig is up, Ron. Even a blind Republican squirrel knows how to write (or something like that).

we all strive for some fashion of a legacy- if we know it or not. Climbers are that way in large part. Charlie is such a legacy in climbing. One acquires good friends through good deeds and that is truly the mark and measure of a legacy-that will stand to eternity in the hearts and minds of the MANY.

Charlies eyes have been gifted in the vertical world, and that world has been gifted by Charlies presence. SALUTE to you sir.

From Ron Anderson to my husband Ian/Charlie Gill posted on November 14, 2012. I read this to him on the night before he passed away. Those were his last smiles here on this earth. Ron Anderson, you are #1 in my books. Always will be!
Cheers!!

Ron is the real deal, and a straight shooter, in more ways than one.

One of many Tacoheads that I have had the honor of meeting.....and one that I have very much come to appreciate.

Cheers Ron!

Hate to think what this place would be like without Ron. Much less multi-dimensional, for sure.

Still waiting your critique of Sunny Delight, by the way.

Well, surprise surprise! Looks like you and Rick S both knew Alvin Mclane, as well. So did I, and I miss him. Alvin sure got around, eh??!!!

See my pic of my Woodsford bear yet?

Hear, hear, to Ron Anderson, man of obvious passion!!

Love Ronnie, or hate his politics, you have to admit he is a genuine soul that will be forthright with you. That is a somewhat lost trait in men. Not here on the TacoStand but out there in society. Too many phony people. I meet them all the time at crags. (This weekend some Brit woman was laughing it up with us and having a good time until she realized I had an NRA hat on and said, "Oh!, you're one of those people. Maybe I shouldn't talk to you anymore").

I like Ron, not just because we agree in politics and philosophy, but because he's a genuinely honest soul.

If you can't admire that, you probably suck.

Hey Ron, I still want to learn how to clean game. I make give you a call. Is Silver still around? I missed him but my buddies climbed with him.

Sounds quite forthright, to me.

And I let it go. She inclined to her opinion. What was typical of a f*#king liberal is that she liked me and took my quality climbing advice (she was with a class of Noobs) easily, and she liked me until my buddy pointed out that I was "kind of a redneck". (He could easily be qualified into the "club").

She asked what that meant. We tried to explain that it means, and it is hard to define. So I had to take off my hat and showed her.

Side note-Dingus' name came up yesterday as well. And it wasn't in a good light.

I like ya, Ding. What came up was your constant reference to "never-servedniks", while my buddy does private, classified, work that the military uses daily.

Me, I just deal will pro audio. The mil prolly benefits from that too.

My point? Some of us aren't cut out for service, but we still contribute to the advancement of America and her troops.
