I've always appreciated Ron's quiet measured responses to some of the seriously deranged anonymous as#@&%es douchbags who aren't even climbers (hola Apogee) continually and irrationally attaching him.

RIGHT ON RON!!! AT LEAST YOU POST SOME DAMNED FINE CLIMBING STUFF ON OCCASION UNLIKE MOST OF YER DETRACTORS.

I find it rather sad when people on this site judge someone upon the fact that they might disagree with their opinions on ANY given subject.

Taking the time to get to know someone means MEETING them in person. Don't we ALL have friends that we interact with in our lives, whom we do not totally agree with on subjects, yet they remain our good friends?

Writing someone off like so many do here just because of politics, religion, or ANY other subject, is really pathetic....and you're missing out when you do so.

I have met Ron, and I can say unequivically.....he adds richness to this site in every way.

Dumb as a doorknob, racist, sexist, supports the needless killing of wild animals. Any of you geritol eating whiners able to identify what it is you appreciate about Ron, other than he climbed some easy slab in the 80's?

Ron's cool by me. Takes a lot of sh#t way better than most would. I don't read all his posts, but really like his art of death thread.

Well, smart is relative ;)

Racist? I haven't seen any of those. He dislikes some cultures and behaviors, that's all.

Needless killing of wild animals??? No evidence whatsoever.

Don't you get it? It is not what you believe in, it is what you ARE.

Stinkeye,

One should choose their drinking partners carefully. I've had a few with some true believers and have had a few with the some who laugh robustly.

I prefer people who like to laugh regardless of the political direction the joke was intended to. People who hold strong feelings but don't take themselves seriously in person are MODERATES regardless of how they vote.

True believers are as#@&%es who are smug enough in their opinions to assume some one else deserves death for making the believer feel funny. (so light)

Ron would be the first guy to help a stranger change a tire in the dark by the side of the road, no questions asked about politics first.

Ron Cares about the important stuff..Agree disagree.. if you dig to the core, if you care.. you know where he is coming from.

Yeah he seems to get a kick out of stirring the pot. Perhaps it's not the most constructive impulse.. but It's kinda entertaining whatching folks get so wound up over it. Kind of a guilty pleasure I will admit to.
