Some time during our High Sierra Loop adventure, we started to talk about the many different views of Half Dome we’ve seen this year. Sure, your average Yosemite visitor has the standard pictures from Inspiration Point, Glacier Point, Sentinel Bridge, etc. But venture a little further off the beaten path and there are lots more views to be had (and our collection is far from complete).

Enjoy!

Please post up some more photos of Half Dome! It would be interesting to see how many angles we can get.

I liked that one too. Is there a picture of 1/2 dome from further away?

1/2 dome from behind Tenaya peak, taken the same day as your photo DM88T. Too funny! Can't wait to climb that thing one day. Awesome shots everyone!

Almost the same angle as Joe's last one above, but with late afternoon shadows.

From top of E Quarter Dome (not much different than Cloud's Rest Trail).

Peter Haan posted this to On The Edge thread.

And see Peter's thread for aerial views:

Had been skiied by Eric Perlman and Bob Bellman in 1980.

Luke, are you gonna give us a real Acorn Dome report sometime? :-)

P.S. Karl,

Chad repeated the crack (arch) part of Growing Up awhile back. He passed on the aid ladder and rap bolted upper part.

What a stone!

I gotta think there's a lot of undiscovered routes up there still

And can't believe that Growing Up hasn't had a second ascent despite spectacular cracks.

People hate hiking it seems

Peace

Cool photos!
When I can't climb anymore, I'm just going to wander around the whole park!
