My friends always tell me
"You should find a nice climbing woman to spend your time with"
Negative. Almost all climbin' ladies are white.
My friend Brandon says "brothers don't hike"
Am I doomed to a life without love because beautiful black women don't climb?
Anyone else have this problem?

Back to original topic - I'm serious. Why don't women with a little darker complexion tend to climb? My ex was upset that I was always running off to the hills, but you'd never catch her dead climbing up a rock wall or trudging through snow to come with me. One camping trip in the snow was more than she could bear.

by being a jerk and pushing her too hard. She does jones for
a good hippo loin from time to time but a choice filet mignon
will usually placate her.

E, with all due respect, where is the slur? I'm being sincere. I saw the Cat Scratch Fever, and it reminded me I wanted to post up on this. Been with a fine mixed lady for many years up to a few months ago.

E, you can take it however you'd like, Senor. I find those that are quick to jump to "EwwwwWW, you're being Rrrrracist!" are those with tendencies themselves.
The Fever can be taken many ways, one of which is attraction for another race - I'm attracted to darker women. They tend not to climb, and I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts/grievances on said topic. That's the point of this thread, if you'd like to be a Nancy and whine I'm sure there are other threads more your speed. If you'd like to contribute something worthwhile, stick around.

I'd agree there seems to be a shortage there. It's too bad since there are a lot of very athletic and able African American women who would make awesome climbers.
I do know one such woman, she is an exceptional climber and is indeed credited as being the first African American woman to climb El Cap. Sadly for you she has a man already. There was a photograph of her doing Separate Reality in Climbing one time.
Perhaps you could get the ball rolling. Take up some other sports which have a higher participation rate among this group, and recruit them for climbing. You could start a trend.

I'm with ya cuz, i used to kick it with this little nubian minx. she was athletic, ripped like a mofo and climbed occasionally. Probably only with me though. I sorta wished she was still around, but like most hot chicks, i got sick of her sh#t and had cut her loose.

I like this idea about trying to bring more women, or really, just more people of color to climbing. It's not a race thing, it's just a culture thing. Certain groups are brought up more often than not directed towards certain activities. That's all it is.
To be fair - luckily for us pasty folks, not many black men or women climb. There would be records broken left and right.
I don't know if I'm even allowed to post something up, seeing that I only have a few posts on ST. I guess I have to buy an account on EBAY with 1000 posts before I can, then, post myself?

White people love to be offended on other peoples behalf. It's quite fascinating, really.
Some like 'em thick, some like 'em short, some like 'em light, some like 'em dark... I realize the term is insensitive, but it seems like he means well. Sh#t, if nothing else the OP's predilection for a darker complexion might make the world a better place - if he finds women who prefer funky lookin' white dudes, and they hit it off, the world is a better place right?
Don't always see the worst - try to have fun. We all have skin and its all sorts of colors, shapes, etc... nothing wrong with a little celebration of that, and online its kind of harmless.

I believe, just after this was taken, I got an earful about not having enough posts on an online forum, or being too handsome for my own good, or starting too many threads with possibly offensive titles in hopes of fostering discussion. Nothing was ever good enough.

Isn't the Jungle Fever reference to Spike Lee's movie about inter-racial relationships?
The trouble with that is I don't get it. Wasn't the main character a white woman having an affair with the African American lead role?
