Shower, shave and redress complete, Kaity and I hit the road only slightly off schedule.
Kaity looking like a million bucks, someone out of a 50s film :-)
I like this one
Cerviche, and plenty for everyone. OMG it was SO... GOOD!
Fresh tortas, baked ham and stuffing, a clash of cultures!
Tellin ya I hit the Thanksgiving Jackpot
What more could a man ask for?
A kitchen full of women and food, carving up meat!
Sometimes I blurt out ill-advised things and get 'the look' from Joann. When she's holding a meat cutting knife this is not the best course of action, not a recommended best practice.
The turkey got sliced and I didn't have to do it. Score!
Kate steps back in time
Great time had by all. 3, no maybe 4 generations of family.
All my girls were smiling in my direction, all at once. Musta been the kick me sign.
Oh yeah!
THis is my family.
And yes they're as weird as I am. They thought I was a stray cat, not realizing I was a spider.
Good times. Some friends from Mexico hadn't seen them in neigh on ten years. We had to pass the tequila around to celebrate.
A great meal
Cept for Lexi's Condition, but we were all braced for that.
La famalia
Then I noticed Brittney's shoes... ut oh
Mmmmm, mice little piggies there Britt.
Secrets exchanged
And Carlie granted me ONE picture, and only one (Carlie always says what she means, and doesn't tolerate misunderstandings or obtuse uncles)
Turned out to be a pretty danged nice Thanksgiving
Looks like a fun day. Did ya drive through that strange fog belt at the base of the foothills? from just east of 99 to about the Ione level. Then it crept up the hills and then dissipated in the early afternoon. Very warm above the fog.
LS - not polar bear at all, more like Far Side warm :)
leggs - yes, AGAIN, lol. Don't think I got caught this time harhar
Mrtrophy - Yes it had me questioning my choices - I started off toward Vacaville as a result of it, then changed my mind and turned round. Glad I did. The fog lasted only 5 miles around Rancho Marietta then dissipated.
Yep window down, t shirt warm... could feel the inversion effect as I descended.
Great bouldering photos....If it had been me I would have added a shot of the squirrel that died from laughing...or possibly from the glare off my ass ;)
