Mammoth has 3500 skiable acres, W/B is a little over 8100 skiable acres. It's the largest in North America by far, Vail is second with 5,289. The village is as good as the mountains. Ekat buy your plane ticket now;-)

I just pulled a GOOG (rhymes with spooge) on it. . . it's within striking distance to DRIVE. . . I think I might be havin' to make some turns there this winter! I HAVE to see this place for myself.
The whole IntraWest thing in Mammoth piqued my interest. . . I mean, a ski area that was actually built from a Master Plan is a novel idea, considering the "DesignAsYouGo" approach to Mammoth.

We Are the largest ski area in North America, that's for certain. We get tons of snow! Come in late January early feb. is quieter and usually good snow.

You lucky SUCKERFISH. . . we've got SLOP comin' out of the sky over here. . . kinda rain, kinda sleet. . . kinda funkmo! Well. . . at least I won't have to fire up the snow blower!

yesterday was like skiing on a giant sno-cone. super grippy due to rime on the snow. won't even bother today with the high snow levels...yuck...wish I was here....

Well there you go eastside. I haven't surfed enough yet to get the bug, but I'm sure I would given a bit of time..
Ekat we got lots of groomers here too... ;) more everyday right now with all the snow. Runs are opening quickly..
