A few photos gleaned over the last year or two. It appears that climbers of El Capitan like to take their furry friends with them. (OK, your spouses'/daughters' teddies - have it your way.) And as some of the more manly have come out of the closet and posted about them here, it must be common.

The original Teddy and his teddy:

If I have a chance, I'll find a photo of Winnie the Pooh, too.

So, 'fess up. Who has a climbing teddy, and where have you been with it? How about some photos? (Pete: No crabs, thank you very much.) Many of your teddies have been to places we can only dream of, so let's hear about them.

Not sure this thread will stay on the target Anders is looking for, but should be interesting nonetheless.

and, no free rides in my haulbag. For one stuffed animal, I can fit gloves, or hat, or beer in the kit.

I imagine this thread to head into the abyss of titties and butts a few posts hence.

I thought for sure that Locker had started this thread, just from the title...then I saw it was Anders and thought, WTF..... it's all worked out so far, ..... so far....

"Stuffie" bear? I don't think so.

And yes, Terrie's Teddie could be added to the group, and maybe #46 - climbing El Cap isn't a prerequisite.

No stinking Teddy for me.

Wouldn't be manly you know.

I do have a cat-pillow-case that converts my down-parka into a very comfortable pillow.

The art of using crutches. In many ways it also applies to teddies.

Interesting how the original story went, that Theodore DIDN'T kill a bear cub in cold blood while lashed to a tree.

Dale used to bring Theodore Edmund Bear on walls. His purpose; "to pilot the haul bags down"... back in the tossing days. Theodore, or Teddy to his close friends, is tucked in next to Dale in the photo.
