Norwegian, you are denying the true nature of man. Man is an animal and any animal, plant, or other creature on this planet is here because they fight to survive. Peace does not make a man from a chimpanzee. All species have a constant arms race with their own kind and with all others who might ever take their resources and lead them to extinction.

Nobility is only a strange side effect of a big brain and will be ignored or will lead the human race to extinction while some other species passes us by... by buying guns.

You want to rid the world of those that buy guns? Get a gun and start shooting because you can't get rid of them with poetry.

I feel the same way about an individuals right to firearms as I do an individuals right to climb on public lands.

Saying that I use a gun to prove my manliness is about as dumb as saying I climb to prove my manliness.

I'm kinda scared of belligerent 'Mericans, Ron. There are plenty of American terrorists. Caucasians even!

I agree with gun ownership here in America despite all evidence to the contrary. Maybe if the paranoid knee didn't jerk so hard, people would take y'all a little more seriously. A paranoid mind with a concealed weapon is not a comforting thought.

Again, I know you guys and your reduced reading comprehension when it comes to this issue, so I repeat: I agree with the right to own guns here in America.

Please, refer to above ^^^^^^^^^^ before spewing vitriolic froth my way ;).

Big piles of guns and ammo will not win the day if you take the first one between the eyes.

Over 20 Navy Seals with Air support have been taken out with a single rocket. Not the norm, but all I'm saying is that just because you think you're all badass and armed doesn't mean you won't drop as though you were standing there empty handed.

DAMM SKIPPY the 2013 NDAA law is ALL obamas. And i ask WHY would such constitutional eroding laws would be put into place against US as attached to the DHS and terrorism.? Once again, the 2013 law has NOTHING to do with terrorism, it deals with citizen "belligerents".

I think that I know what this is, but could someone give me a synopsis? I looked this up and it sounds like something I thought the gov had been working on for some time. Not really an Obama thing, but something started quite awhile ago. The Patriot act being a big part of it.

Something like.'

If we think you are a terrorist or just someone we don't like.

We can arrest you.
We don't have to tell you why.
We don't have to tell anyone why.
You have rights, but we can ignore them.

Is this the gist?
We can hold you as long as we want.

Guns don't kill people

Bullets kill people

and they are also good for shooting dogs at the crags

I used to think like Weege. I don't agree with guns because they make it far too easy to kill someone.

I also hear what Ron is saying:
Ive lived 54 years thus far and never have seen the likes of what goes on today. I use the Germany of old in comparison to these actions taken by our govt as the 2013 law does not deal with terrorism but rather "belligerents". Which means You or I. A blanket law that allows them to do anything they please to US w/o due process of any article 111 kind. Its quite easy to compare that to Nazi Germany, and what we accept today will be increased upon tomorrow.

There is just too much evidence something weird is going on... So I don't know what to think anymore. I do know that learning how to hunt could be very useful when the food chain is disrupted.....

I'm at a loss as to what the heck they are so afraid of?

Well? is it the black guy. the bears, the snowboarders or the heathen PBR poets that have your camo- pajamas in a bunch?

Judgmental, gun-toting Christians, the best argument for Atheism.

But the very language of the 2013 bill should chill one to the bones.

Ron.. My bones were chilled with the Patriot act. And the various not for regular criminals ( meaning they sit empty right now ) detention centers that have been build around the country. Many of them during the Bush era.

Glad to see you are awake now.

So I don't really blame Obama.. He is part of a much bigger problem. Mitt or McCain would have done the same thing, but the gun toters probably wouldn't have gone out and bought as many guns or as much ammunition. And Bush was definitely part of it, with his pals Cheney and Rumsfeld.

So goes the new world order re the NDAA law.

Folks are buying guns in record numbers cause soon gov't will be taking them away, and or making ownership illegal.

Interesting, Chicago and New York have some of the harshest gun control laws in the country. Yet these two cities have the highest rates of gun crime. Go figure.

You sheeple are ka-lou-less as to what's in store for us.

Freakin' bah-ah-ah. Y'all need to be sent to FEMA re-education camps.

Ron...we all know what you are concerned about. I was addressing the premise of the OP. Why don't you start an NDAA/Patriot act/Cartel from Compton thread and then all your posts will be on topic.

Apogee, some day you need to learn to read Ronisms..

Ron has stated in the past that he knows this didn't start with liberals. Its not a liberal/conservative thing. He blames Obama right now because he is the one in power and it is appearing that what they want to add is going to make the government even scarier.

It is true that he is much more vocal now then under Bush. He is less afraid of conservatives.
