I'm a little dubious about the circumstances around fattrad's banning (or the idea of 'lifting the ban'), but I don't think another such Appreciation thread is really necessary.

After my banning and being ALLOWED back in, I made a PROMISE and have kept it...
Fattrad on the other hand, DID NOT, and as a result got a SECOND booting...
There's a difference between us on that one...

After all the bile Fatty has spewed on this site, after all the times he has interjected his political BS into non-political threads, after years of him carpet-bombing this forum with his half-true stories and self-aggrandizing posts, after him actively stalking various members and giving Cmac's name to the cops when his office was burglarized, I have no appreciation for him. ZERO.
He paid a bet that he made. Good on him and BFD! It was what he should have done, nothing more. That in no way wins him my goodwill and IMHO it does not warrant him being allowed back to this site.

why the FUK should I be allowed back in???...

Good work, PhatTrad! Maybe the Catholics were on to something with that whole indulgences thing, even if Luther got worked up about it.
Even though it's mid-November, let's try to keep it civil. We don't need four more months of this. Jeff made and kept a promise, and has given significant support to three groups that are known for their effective work on behalf of climbers. He deserves our thanks, and let's leave it at that. Few of us donate so much money, or time, to such causes.

Yup, bring back Jeff. Make him post 10 current photos of climbing any 5.7 or above, say 10 "Hail Marys" with 2 "Our fathers" first and then show true Christian charity and open the door again for the man.
