I honestly never doubted that he would stand by his word.

Sure he gets the tax write off, so what! All a tax write off does is lower his taxable income by 5K, it still costs him +/-$3500 out of pocket. More than I gave this year....

First and ONLY post from Rotflmroxo above...

So you HAD to make your new handle so you could HIDE and post that stuff above???...

Wow!!!...

EDITED:

"STFU Locker. You are embarrassing yourself"...

I am not in the slightest bit embarrassed...

But you must be about something since you hide behind a new screen name...

THAT would be embarrassing to me...

Well done and thank you for your generosity.
I've benefited from all three organizations, actually, all Yosemite climbers have.
Looking forward to running into you over a glass of wine or three. Hopefully soon. Sorry you weren't at Facelift.

Me? Kludge? I have no money, you know that. It was just three months or so ago I loaned you my last $30. I knew you were good for it. I think you paid me back within an hour!

Survival, what exactly do you want him to say about the election? It didn't go the way he wanted. Ask him on Facebook yourself, Jeff Elfont

"You can do better. Time to pull out the bullshit Photoshops (...whatever...)"...

If you'd be kind enough to send me a photo of yourself...

be happy to fix you right up!!!...

;-)

I think it's GREAT that Jeff donates...

NOT sh!tting on him at all for that...

Just don't 100% believe that this donation really is due to the bet...

That's all I'm saying...

Its hard to believe there are doubters.

Jeff is quite the philanthropist .

He has been supporting some of these causes for some time.

His heart is always in the right place even though he may find his foot in his mouth sometime.

Im not much for politics or anything for that matter so I dont miss him here but I did at facelift (he is always very generous there with wine and such) and witty and funny.

Here's a toast to the generous fatty!!

I wasn't a fan of Fatty but I thought it was wierd to see him go like that. I don't read or get caught up AT ALL in the political/religious threads but it must get really heated and dumb in those threads to get booted from the taco like that. Regardless, nice work Fattrad, like Prod- I figured you would the whole time..

The only thing Locker is doing is bumping a thread to create more room to thank Fatty more.

Who cares whether he would have donated anyway. It probably would have been less than $5100.

If you want to diss Fatty, there's plenty of other places where he's more vulnerable

But why not have the credibility to laud good behavior and following through when it's deserved. He could have let the whole thing slide with ease and got even less grief than he's getting for honoring his word

Peace

Thanks fatrad. I also never doubted. Jeff is one of those Dr Heckle and Mr Jive characters: likes to get everyone riled up on the internet and then fun and gracious in the flesh. At least he has the balls to not hide behind his avatar and puts his money where his mouth is.

I wonder if norton will apologize for making his butt hurt thread calling him out?
Seems unlikely.

Hiya, Rox!

I wonder why fattrad hasn't resorted to the rotational avatar strategy that Rox uses so effectively...

Has to be because he will accept only full reinstatement.

Quite odd. Consider:

Face to face Jeff treats everyone very graciously. He certainly treats his clients graciously. He enjoys being around us at Facelift. So we know he thinks we have at least some merit.

He's not some fool thinking you can treat other people differently on the internet.

He surely does not think his approach sells anything.

Curious.

Dollars in damages caused by arguments online involving fattrad: $0.00
Dollars donated by fattrad to help the community: $5100.00

Say what you want about fatty, he's only said words. Symbols on a screen expressed with 0's and 1's that we interpret in whatever way we see fit.

No, there is no need for him to exonerate himself - he hasn't done anything wrong. Talking sh#t online should be taken with a grain of salt - buyer beware.

Good on you, Jeff. Most of us here already knew you were a good dood, regardless of how much money you donated.

It wouldn't take me 10 minutes to set up a charitable fund for a million dollars (in my name) going to the taco. BFD.

Cool!

a) maybe because he doesn't give a sh#t.
b) maybe because he has resorted to the strategy.

He was probably going to donate the exact amount regardless...

TAX WRITE OFF...

I just DON'T buy into his sh!t at all...

He probably was.

That makes him someone who donates $5000 to climbing nonprofits as a standard practice, yes?

He probably donates at least that much to climbing nonprofits every year.

And that's pretty cool.
