It wouldn't take me 10 minutes to set up a charitable fund for a million dollars (in my name) going to the taco. BFD.

Cool!

... can you do it? Please?

These are very generous contributions to three very worthy organizations.

A tip of the climbing helmet for your generosity, Fattrad. Best wishes, Phyl

I really have no power to do anything with "Friends Of YOSAR".

It was only my personal opinion if I did have such power ......

I want to give "Friends Of YOSAR" donation back to Fattrad.

It's got too much of Norton's sh!t all over it .......

You make that sound like it's blood money from drug dealers or something.

I must be the most pathetic person in the world, because I do not fully understand the vile on this thread. It is as bad as on some other threads. Sure I know the background of certain issues, but...

Am I being judgmental? Does a bear sh#t in the woods? Is the Pope Catholic?

Goddamn right. I f Fatty gave, fair play to him, if he didn't then it will be sussed out. Knowing jeff the short while I have met him, I believe, but some people have their knickers in a twist over Jeff.

Or perhaps those undies are twisted around their eyes and brains.

I don't know.

Some of the BS on this forum makes me want to make pancakes instead.

Bring Fatty Kovar and Rox back

Why don't we "bring back" those who contributed, but gradually lost interest and quietly slipped away - because of the behaviour of people like RokJox?

I have always been a fan of Yosemite climbing history

In 2006 after our first pretty good year, I contributed $2000 dollars to Kens YCA.
My brother and I were in Yosemite and we got to meet Ken and check out some of the many relics, Salathe's rope and his meger rack of pins. Old biners and spools of rope from the nose FA. A Harding Bat Tent, it kinda smelled, and I actually got to hold one of the stoveleg pitons.

Since then I have contributed what I can. The company I am partners in has made some contributions to the YCA too.

Why give it to the goverment when you can give it to the orginazation of your choice?

I voted for Obama, but like Nature and most every one else,, I have no doubt that Jeff's contributions are real.

I'm not taking sides here, probably would make little or no difference, but, I do have this to say ...

Not saying that anyone necessarily does or doesn't deserve forgiveness, because that is besides the matter. But it is obvious there are some bitter feelings being held for whatever reason[s]. And, forgiveness is a very powerful thing, because it has healing powers. It heals not only the one being offered forgiveness, it also heals the one offering forgiveness. Something worth considering anyway!

edit: "heals" - transforms/changes a person for the better.

I have to say I did not agree with Fatrads politcal bias, extremism and his "evil" moniker. However, I didn't think he should have been banned as he just seemed to like to stir up conflict, and in all other aspects seemed like a good guy. Following thru on his bet just goes to show he is a Man of his word. My hat is off to you Fatrad. I would rope up with you anytime. I'd rope up with Locker to, but I would tape a board over my ass. Ive seen that blue buttplug pop up in to many places...

I appreciate fatty's donations that will positively influence many climbers for years to come.

This will make me unpopular, but I can't simply sweep under the rug the gigabytes of negative energy he purposefully posted here because of this financial contribution. I'm not that cheap.

Fattrad is very generous, and would not go back on his word for a donation.
Re: his politics, include me out.
But he's fair on social issues.
Any way, thanks for the contributions, Fatty.

This year...

I have lost my closest brother, Mac, one of the world's finest winemakers by peer recognition, one of my favorite cousins (professor emerita LA State) just lost her husband, an excellent man, and I just lost a favorite cousin today to cancer.

And some of you are bitchin' about Jeff Elfont, a man who never knew me outside of the Taco Stand (until we met), but yet offered to help me. Yeah, his banter and bullshit and his politics were not to my liking, but maybe Fattrad has a heart that some of you do not see.

And I would just as soon as see on the Taco Stand posts from Jeff, LEB, Norton, Wes, etc etc than effing butt plugs, misogynist photos, and militaristic crap that some people post.
