All plans for life need to remain fluid and flexible, and I find myself with time to climb and no partner. Previous plans thwarted by work, a good thing.

I intend to leave for the valley in the early am on Monday, tomorrow. I will solo one or more of things I have never gotten around to, or would love to enjoy one of these adventures with another person. I am flexible on who would be welcome, but do keep in mind the season, weather, and potential for fun, or epic. Perspective.

All it would require would be willingness, desire, eyes open, and personal gear. My wife would prefer only climb with a male. Routes would be negotiable, as would grade. Anything A3 or harder would require a partner with skills at the grade solidly in place.

Looking for one or more walls, probably on the column or tower, but ElCap not out of the question, at all!!!! I will be on the road for two days, smartphone in hand to follow as cell signal allows. Prefer you message me via the Taco, or respond to this thread. Serious fun junky, or amature enthusiast, doesn't matter to me. A good time will be had.

what happened to the Shipoopi Real Nose partnership?

You stupido American dog! I pulled down the fixed ropas and took big shat on them in the style of macho American ElCapitan climbers from the day in the back. My A6 skills are not wanted by the American pussy climbers so I revolt with BM on the bold efforts of the Poopie. Viva Espania!

Steve ran into work, and postponed his plans for a few weeks. I weaseled this time off of work, and have no intention of wasting a moment of it.

I think it will be an adventure whatever happens. Just being in The Valley is an adventure. Then there is getting TO The Valley. That is the adventure I seek. As I am stuck in the rain here in Oregon. Damn it!

Darkness looms upon us up here with the passing of Daylight Savings.

I gotta get more batteries for my headlamps.

Well...??????? no one wants to have the time of their life? Zodiac looks pretty dry all the way to the top, no runoff off of the falls. ElCap is 15 degrees warmer than the valley floor this afternoon. Washington Column seems abandoned, but I only had time to check it right at dark, so no water details. C'mon someone sack up, please. I should have all the crap packed to the base before you could even get here. Haa Ha.

I will keep you in mind, have you seen the rain at least through Saturday forcast?

My wife would prefer only climb with a male.

There are two ways to interpret this, you know. Enough said.

Good luck with the partner thing, I'm sure you'll find someone. Maybe just pick your route of choice and start climbing/fixing. It's sometimes easier to get a good partner directly on the wall or at the base, especially on the more popular routes.

I can do whatever Friday-Sunday, but forecast doesn't look perfect. Would things on leaning tower be ok to climb in crap weather? Do you have Friday Saturday Sunday off? If so I would love to give Wet Denim a shot. Done only a few walls and more than a few free climbs in Sierre, some of those in crappy weather. (if I did not work this week, I would post earlier)

I have every day off, until next month. Start humping loads to Zodiac base this morning. Rain forcast dictated this.

Wife trusts me. Other girls, not so much. Face it, on a wall, you're gonna drop your trousers more than once.

I was just trying to insure success. It is a lot of effort and no small expense just to get here.

Xtremecat...consider setting up a ledge in the garage so your wife can experience the sexiness of having a guy drop trou to poop canned chili and cliff bars into a paper bag from 3 ft away. Then for good measure pass her your warm bag because she's closer to the dry bag. There is no less sexy place on earth than a multi-day wall, IMO.

Kidding aside, I respect her concern. Good luck finding a partner or enjoying your solo. The forecast looks rough though.

Melissa, i tried to explain that very thought to her. Well sometimes I know enough to try once and then just let it go. If a solid partner showed up and happened to be female, I would probably go with the old standby. It is always easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

James G.. Going to check my email in a few minutes, after the download of my new antivirus is complete. Most of the kit at the base, weather looks bleek at best.

James G, do me another email please. The first one didn't come to my phone. Perhaps we should talk, seeing how the weather has this project on hold. Xtrmecat. At. Bresnan dot net .

I will hang around data area for a few hours, then back early afternoon.

Thanks Gene. As you know, I have a score to settle with this one in the shoulder season.

James, no periods except the one before net.

Edit to add: James, I sent another email with my phone # and times I will power up the power gobbling beast. Hope to talk with you.
