GT is the one you see, prominent on the East horizon from Vail.
There is an old way out of print, typed, no photos, guide to the area, I'll ask.

This day's objective was a walk up the SW ridge of Unicorn,
Like, Uhm, Class 2.

Along the way, we ran across these lovely curiosoties,
Which we called "Hippy Heads".
Prolly that's what locals Call 'em Too, Eh, Poser?

Aside from the Obligatory Snow Stompin' and Kletter Walkin',
What with I won't Bore Ya (Cuz I ran outta' film),

Jaybro, Tarbaby,others--

some lovely scrambles are to be had in the Rock Creek drainage in the Gore, if you drive around past Silverthorne to the NE end of things. Perhaps later I'll post some pictures, but it looks a lot like Tarbuster's shots in the Indian peaks.

Me Thinks Rhodo:
You are referring to Eagles Nest Wilderness accesed off of Route 9, which is the route to Steamboat Springs from Silverthorne.

There are great views of Mt Powell from there no?

Please post up. I am lonely here in Scrambles-Rockies-Cyberville(not that i am running short on material, nope).

A worthwhile trail run, and rolling by Gore standards, is to start from the trailhead @ the western most Dillon exit and run the trail to East Vail (deluge?) trailhead. ~10 miles? requires a car shuttle.
