Couldn't get through it. Maybe I just don't understand how much ego it takes to climb at that level. Maybe I'm just jealous.

Maybe because she's a 5.13 trad climber and not a professional writer?
If you don't have something nice to say....
Good on her. Difficult to write about what you've done without people thinking of reasons to nitpick, especially if you are young/female/confident.

I saw nothing but honest reporting about the climb. Some if it involves "who freed what" when it's a big route like that.
If she was a male, would it change what you are looking for in terms of "ego"?
