É pau, é pedra, é o fim do caminho

É a chuva chovendo, é conversa ribeira
É o pé, é o chão, é a marcha estradeira
Passarinho na mão, pedra de atiradeira

É uma ave no céu, é uma ave no chão
É um regato, é uma fonte, é um pedaço de pão
É o fundo do poço, é o fim do caminho

É o carro enguiçado, é a lama, é a lama

zBrown, knowingly or annoyingly you pulled a chain and the sh#t came rushing up over the top of the toilet bowl of my memory and it was colored brown and blue, pornographic as heck.

It was like someone said "Niagarakaka Falls."

I went huh? What the fvuck is he taliking about? Miles and Amy. It shouldn't mean anything to the rest but it means something.

Maybe.

Years ago in the early nineties the Mrs. and I and a roommate, Terri, got into a renaissance re-enactment mode. We began a guild and two members were Amy and Miles. They had a living-together period and made the irrevocable decision to tie the Celtic knot, the tie that binds, that no man puts asunder under pain of righteous wrath and a visit from Marcel. (Miles is a Pulp Fiction trivia buff.)
Happy Hour. The bar just opened.
The party's in full swing.Everyone's ecstatic and it's all kumbaya, kiddies to come, and kissie-kissie the mother-in-law just for luck.
You're going to need more than luck.

The results: Score one for the best man! He was too smart to marry Amy after he knocked her up after she left Miles after they had their affair after all that kumbayas and kissing one of the ugliest women on the planet.
Score on Miles: Loser.
Score on Amy: Double loser, she has her two kids by Miles and the one by Brian, their best man.
Amy's mom: Biggest loser. She's got Amy and the clan living with her.

I can't speak for Liz and how she'd feel about her friends' seemingly pointless vows.

I can speak for losers like Miles, who feel lousily-treated but realize after time that they had much to do with it, the guilt is halved in these situations, GENERALLY.

Hike You for the Road of Life

Miles before sleep.

Now I lay Amy down to sleep.

It hurts to be me.

But the SOB isn't paying child support. It's pointless to worry about people like these. They come into our lives and leave, we are changed, they are changed. It takes time to mellow into how. Who cares why?

ZBrown's a case in point, in my case.

CosmicCragsman is another.

Mouse from Merced is yet another.

Lemme just point a few things out.

Take it back, take that thing right of here

Teach a dog to fish, it'll bring you back fish
Teach a dog (preferably at a young age) to point and he guide you through life

also, fishwise, the poor thing might get confused and give you the bird

Dueling videos.[Click to View YouTube Video]Competition is not pointless.

In fact, the one with the most posts wins.

What does the winner win, my darling young son?

Glad you asked, Boomer.

He wins a dream adventure vacation/cruise/trek to his choice of these gloriously scenic but rarely-visited spots:

A trek, led by donini himself into the mysterious twelve misty mountains. That is the one I want the most, but I am not eligible as the OP.
The keys to a Dirtbagger Special custom van from Volkswagen so he or she can travel in style on six crooked highways, WITH THE WHOLE FAM DAMILY.

VW Microbus advert. No fahrvengmuggin allowed.

From Clif Bars, a fab trip to Norway to hike in seven sad forests, guided by none other than Marlow AND a side trip to Ooulu, Northern Finland for the Air Guitar World Championsip competition. Ah, competition. Keeps you sharp, it does.

And, courtesy of British Petroleum, a cruise on a dozen dead oceans.

From Delaware North, a gala visit to the mouth of a graveyard, as long as it's in golden MARIPOSA COUNTY! Lodging will be at the world-famous Yosemite Bug Hostel on Hwy. 140.

There will be, in addition, a full suit of THE NORTH FACE rain gear and an umbrella, and a signed and autographed photograph of the NEW WORLD CHAMPIONS, the Sand and Cisco Giants Fantasy Baseball Team.

Pointlessly pointing the obviously wrong way
Not having a map
Pointing at nothing he seeks to divert you he lies
Knowing it's okay-ay
Only to laugh on the look on your face-a-a-...-a-ace
We are one, my brothers, we are too alo-hone, we are three messed-up kids, we are 4-or-or or each other.

Hey say, Jimbo! Under the "rules" of the contest you and Angela both are STILL ELIGIBLE! I made the rules so you each have a dispensation.
