Mouse, those early skateboard pics and the whole cruising thing brought back a lot of memories for me. I made my first skateboard in '59 that way. I jacked one of my sister's roller skate and nailed it onto a 2X4. I lost a lot of skin in the next bunch of years when those steel wheels and later, the clay composite ones, would instantly stop when they hit the smallest pebble or what have you.

I spent most of my high school years hanging out here

apologies for interrupting the Flames reunion

Were Randy and I ever at the Pinnacles that you remember, Gypsy? This thing with Clint bothers me, still. I can't sleep at night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghFBvBmXv4E

Some boss shorts in that video, amigos. Where were you in '72?

Mouse and Millis ran up this face with one bivvy and ran down the Cathedral Gully in the dark so I could get to work next morning.

The most obvious, to me, line is the right-facing corner, which is why it is called the Chouindard?/Pratt Route, V, whatever.

MFM and the Rev (before he was the Rev but after he was "ordained") had been on the C/R with Jerry Anderson. we bailed.

This old derelict in Camp 4 said we should go do it again, and we never did, but Millis and I did.

The derelict in better times.

Thanks for the advice, man.

Anyone recognize the truck in back of the Bird?

Is it a bread truck?

By the way Throwpie, Dick didn't think that the photos of people having sex were pornographic; he thought the ones of war and people killing each other were the pornographic images.

That's Mr. Hamm in the library, right?

These are fantastic shots, Gypsy. Much beholden.

Dick's truck! I remember that some of the photos included in the collage on it's side were a bit, well, very pornographic. A ranger instructed Dick to cover them up. He did...with cardboard flaps saying " do not look"

Was that spring of 70 or 71?

I remember the van and a big commotion in the parking lot.

of course we had to go over and lift up the "do not look" flap.
