The above is brought to you by the makers of Brawny Bonnie Butt Bags.

This ad is approved by Bilbo Baggins, his new GF--the Author Styled Miss Howdee, and the Two Nuns Modeling Agency, Fresno, who supplied the cheerleaders.

Butt shots rock.

And racquetball needs to be played indoors. Climbing, anyplace, really.

Killshots rock, too.
W.O.R. = intense warlike outdoor racquetball

I spent many many hours on the indoor courts while the Sierra Nevada waited "out there," beyond Yosemite Avenue, on the horizon, for me to come to my senses.

It was a good reason for hitting the bar after a match--like horseshoes, the drinking guy's perfect sport.

On the other hand, the cardio workout was beneficial, as all I did at work was lots of standing around on hard concrete watching the machines that I kept fed.

Had I the partner, back then in the eighties, or the true calling, really, ultimately, I'd have been climbing instead. Or I wish it had been so. If this is regret, so be it.

This sound familiar to some of you?

JUSTIN CASE,

If you got to get married now, if you MUST do a ceremahoney, do it in the only city that matters, THE NAKED ONE, the one named for it's own island, I'll Land Ya.

It's the other country with three words in its name.

The United States of I'll Land Ya.
Islandia is a classic novel of utopian fiction by Austin Tappan Wright, a U. C. Berkeley Law School Professor. Written as a hobby over a long period, it was posthumously edited down by a third by his wife and daughter, and first published in hardcover by Farrar & Rinehart in 1942, eleven years after the author's 1931 death.1
Islandia is a fully realized world which has drawn parallels to Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, but it contains no magic, so it is much more a utopia than a standard fantasy.

Remember, there is no free will in I'll Land Ya. It is a con-trac-tion but it's otay, it is a brand new world, one with only apastroffs, no free will.

Everybody be wearin' codpieces? What? Huh? Utopia?

Mille grazie, Mlle. feralfae. I've been meaning to 'do' another city besides Merced, but the place is loded, I'm stuck, in other words, in Lode Eye Candy Country, part of I'll Land Ya...

Mundane, sure. Varied, plenty.

I ran into Jules today. He and I talked many times, now and then, in the used book store. He's a street wanderer, poor as my church relatives, and he's been sick lately, not comprehending what he should say in return to my jabber.

He is, let's say, distracted by something in his head. Jules is from Barcelona, about forty-five. He has always been healthy enough to walk around carrying a cardboard box with him wherever he trucks. Even when he feels normal, though, he's the same dang way. Odd. Odd as a box of whatever is in there today.

Jules is what you call a 'book scout.' He finds treasure at thrifts and may even stop at a yard sale now and then. He is close-mouthed, private, with a wary look in his eyes, and unless you know him, he won't give you the time.

He's photogenic.
He vanishes suddenly
and then you see him.

No pix today.
