Dreaming of Wolfie and ScroogeWE WERE SO LIGHT & GAY

When we still lived among the land
And in the trees
And were the wind itself in the trees
We were blessed

Now we are called saints

But now is not our time
To be blissful
It can never be explained
Do the best you can

Until your times to come to join us

Have a care in what you say
Please others not yourselves
--but, O my! for goodness' sake, better you don't be PUSHY with it! :))
Walk the woods and climb the mountains
While you may

And trust to God

I'm feeling awful about "falafel" and take it back, OK? ??:0)??

Oh, Mouse, it is okay. Everyone is confused by both my names, feralfae and iloilo. I am used to it. :)
No matter, no worries.

Have a wonderful Holiday season, enjoy the little mice and all the rest that is on its way to you.

It turned out he was only curious.

Back when the Flames roared, we (but I'm only really speaking for myself--who knows what lies in the hearts of men?) never thought about potential homo-erotic episodes like spooning on a bivvy, or having pissing contests off the belay stance, or pissing on each other, for that matter, though there is a picture of Larry whizzin' on the lower-down beings on this thread, in the distant past.

And there was the time Randy landed in my lap after that fall on Tweedle Dee, or was it Tweedle Dum?

And I didn't know Nietsche even died, Marlow. Did he write anything worth while? Really? Cuz I can't complain about my life, despite not having had the experience of examining his work.

Hell, I didn't even know Dennis Cardoza had resigned a year ago today! Did you see that post? Marcel came by and he laughted his butt off and we had to settle it like mice: With carving knives. It was no sweat--he threw first and I got mine to stick way out there, so he couldn't stretch that far and it turns out I was still wrong, because he then showed me the date, Dec. 17, 2012.

I'm sticking with my imagination and leaving the facts for someone else. I couldn't even give out the right times for moonrise and set yesterday.

Hey, Gene, did you see that post, bud? Where were you, WatchDawg? I won't delete it, cuz it was no troll. I am, in this respect, an idiot, much to my chagrin, as I just nailed Nemesis to the wall with such verve that it scared me.

Sorry, Nembo, I'm not hypocritical, just human. but there was food for thought in that post.

Nobody that posts on the Flames sucks. In fact...sorry, not gonna go there again without rehearsal of the ducks.

Hi Mouse,
Thank you for the link.
As I am kicked back on this, my Wednesday off from the world, I clicked and enjoyed both The Ransom of Red Chief & The Gift of the Magi today between bringing in firewood and making chicken soup.

Great stories, with hilarious irony and beautiful love. Nice gift to us all for the season.

Thank you.

hey there say, mouse... saw the pidgeon-hole of an email, ;)

such fan-fair, those ol' pidgeons...

say, forgot to get back to you--did know of the two stories, but have time now, and as feralfae did, i will go back and read them, as a 60 year old now, ;) instead of young mom, (and before that, as an unmarried school gal) :))

well, we all the cry of the day:

it's not 'off belay' it's WHERE IS BOX OF 'ON THE WAY?'

thanks for the distracting story of the quickly distracted pidgeons,
and the glass that got dis-tracked from its tact...
and the imagined-images of a box-gone-wrong...

It's just the Gift of the Magi, neebee, not the Ransom of Red Chief, on the VOA link.

I am real happy you got to see the films, Ilollo. And I am going to be doing some filming soon, of a sort. You may have a good role. I'll let you know when the ducks get here. The monkeys are due in the next two days.

"Is that cryptic, or what, Watson?"--Holmes, in the film adaptation of the Lost Jar of Jar Jar Binks, c. Joe Mumm Productions, 1967.

As I told neebee in that series of emils, she herslf (HA!) may have a LEADING role in this or maybe another of my Tripot Cinema productions, many of which are slowly simmering in the back ranges of my brian.

The best scene I have yet written involve castles and Spanish mice and in which I hope to cast Lynn Hill as HERSELF. I've been trying to decide whether to use attacking hordes of mice and defending barbarians,
or the other way around, but either way it is an excellent scenario because the mice always win, and the barbarians ALWAYS lose.

Ain't no ransoming the castle, either. It's ya either do or yer gunna die time in old the old Spanish west. Bastille in Castille is the working title. Three Blind Mousketeers is in the running. South Bay Watch Company is underwriting my efforts, BTW. Some back-channel rumors have it that there is a contest involving this production. NOT TRUE, please do not pm me over this...thx.

For zBrown, special numbers.

I have one important thing to present, the final paragraph of a letter included in a Christmas card from Larry Jones, the old Flame and it may be you recall his recurring mention here.

be that as it may, he's a dear old pal, just as nice a guy as they make, like all my friends, and he lost his wife Barb this summer just after I had visited, like the day after. It was shocking, and her mom was living there but Barb's brother and his wife are on the ball. She's moved to Washington, so he's by himself with his two poodles, Mr. Darcy and Miss Sophie.

His letter ended this way:

In closing, I would like to say that I have realized several important things this year. First, love is like an iceberg and has deep hidden dimensions. Second, tell people you love them as often as you can while you still can. Finally, think deeply about what the people in your life mean to you and work to resolve issues that separate you. Life is short, make good use of the time you have. I wish all of you a wonderful holiday season and a joyous new year. Love to all, scribble/scrawl of another someday-to-be-famous painter/sculptor/lover

oh my, my condolences to him, in the loss of his wife...

i am one way, glad:
glad you could be there for them to enjoy the visit
with a friend, in togetherness, before she passed on...

a special memory note, thus, left behind for him...

I'll tell the Jokes.

We used to call Larry by a multitude of different nicknames. Jokes from Jones. Hodad, well, that was not likely. Larry was the first one of us to grow long hair. Scuz, that was his normal, everyday handle. Moab, for golly sakes, was one that crept in from the desert, I guess. I was not around when he was anointed that.

LarryMarcusHodadScuzMoab Jokes-Jones. Has a familiar look to it.

It were Larry got the other half of that first hit of White Lightning acid I tooken in '68. His jaw drooped ALL OF HALFWAY DOWN HIS CHEST before I realized that the cake in my hand was tota-lotally crushed by my fist in a frenzy of feeling the texture of icing and goo as I walked out into the sunlight of the New Year, 1969, the Year of Altamont. That was my first hallucination. It's Mouse, a New Age Guy, a Man of Division, a Farce to be Reckoned a Crackpot. But a free man, because six months later I was out of the Nav and on my way to becoming y'all's FRERE GRIMPEUR.

Hickory, dickory, Dr. F,
Helter, skelter, Dr. Leary.
Washy, washy, Dr. Bronner.
First yer straight, then yer hair grows, then yer a dirtbag, but dirtbags, of all people, have friends. That's one of its prime benefits, besides the Climbing Grant.

Who is Climbing Grant?

A good subject for another poem, that's what.

Hey, Tony! Is Dingus awake yet? I wanted to ask him if he ever got to be a drifter, a dirtbag, a climbing BUM.

Curiosity kept the mouse from the same fate as the cat. Odd fact, but true. GET IT? Or have you no clue, too? Why that is, I'm not very curious. I'm more than willing to accept it. Mice don't have nine lives to just throw away, see? And nobody leaves anything out for us on purpose, so we need to go raiding. And night time is the right time to seek the things you love.

Seriously, I think I might want to commit visual suicide over the holidays.

Take a beebee gun and blow my airhead out, just as the shutter clicks. What's the worst that can happen if I don't kick the bucket, shoot my eye out?

Or I could go see ANCHORMAN II: The Adventure Continues. Right, like I want to pay to see drivel when it abounds hereabouts?
But it does look like FUN, and there is a road trip, like the climbing lifestyle dirtbuggers live, seeking employment while seeking enjoyment is hard and all the guys on the road this Christmas to go climbing, and there are tons of you, have FUN sitting in the tent out of the 30-knot wind, remember to put your toothbrush where you can find it, and keep your water in you sleeping bag.

I might die laughing if I go see this movie cuz, as the trailer indicates here, we are all gonna die. I'll wait to view it online later when I can die in my reclimber chair and not cause a public fuss. And I won't have to pay ten bucks.

I'm kidding. Far from being depressed, this is shaping up to be one of the nicest Christmases ever for me. I blame it on supertopo.

One good thing about films like this is that for a bit we feel smarter than someone else and that can only build self-esteem. Over-the-top comics like these guys and STeve Martin and NOT Drew Carey for the holidays, Fockers!

MERRY CHOSSMAS! HIGH NEW YEAR!

A facsimile of the Blue Cookie Monster. The answer to the riddle, "How could I have gorged on the cookies and then been able to take pictures of them?" is not mine to reveal.

P.M. mfm with an answer. I have some of my own. Also, I'd really like to know the meaning of the acronym, as well.

hey there say, mouse...

if the box does not come by christmas eve...

THEN:
i will post the poem AND LET YOU IN on the
'secret project'...

then, i will 'play the cards' out, as well i can...
as to what that BOX was all about...

as, each day I WILL explain the poem...

also, sadly, i should have taken pictures--that was the plan,
but trying to make the 'mail deadline' i did not get
photos enough... :(

but--it will still be fun...
just in a dryer flatter, way, :)

kind of like a carpet, instead of fresh lush grasslands, :)

happy god bless to you all this eve...
was busy with the last cards and chatting with my
stamp-fairy... by phone... she had twisted her ankle after
falling DOWN a flight of stairs, :O
whewwww-no broken bones for her, or head injury, and her family
was there... outside, when it happened... was not even snow/ice
related, :O

so, got to go sleep now, and get read for the night shift, THIS
time, i will be able to paint... card are ALL DONE, :)
