I must have woken up with something other than bullfrogs on my mind.
I woke late and only got this type of scene on the fifth floor fire escape.
{Choose picture}Then I posted like a {generally clean but homely simile};
& then, when it came time to relax and get out on my bike for a change,
I noticed the dust on the bookcase , and before I knew what I did,
I decided to vacuum the carpet and mop the tile and dust the bathtub.
But before it all began, I must have sung a little song.

Adios.

señor? señor?

Can you tell me where we're headin'
Mariposa County or Darmageddon?
Seems like I been down this way before
Is there any truth in that, señor?

It is not true, as has been alleged, that Las Cuatro Milpas is a tatoo parlor. It is rumoured that not only a shirt and shoes, but also a hat are required for service. Which service, the Navy man, we're talkin' San Diego here.

Is it their first 3-hour tour?

Are they here to rock the boat?

Willie Mays played center field.

His number was never number 4.

Carl William Mays (November 12, 1891 – April 4, 1971) was a right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1915 to 1929. He is primarily remembered for throwing the beanball that killed Ray Chapman of the Cleveland Indians on August 16, 1920. Chapman became the only major league player to die as a direct result of an on-field injury. He finished his career as one of the New York Giant Apples.

Don't call him Chappie.

Willie Howard Mays, Jr. (born May 6, 1931), nicknamed "The Say Hey Kid" is a retired American professional baseball player who spent the majority of his Major League Baseball (MLB) career as a center fielder with the New York and San Francisco Giants before finishing with the New York Mets. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979 in his first year of eligibility. Mays' number 24 is retired by the San Francisco Giant Sloths.

Call him like neebee might (will sooner or later): 'Say Hey, Kid. There, there, everyone strikes out....'

Though both wore baseball cleats professionally, CARL is the one history remembers as eventually using a pair on a failed (obviously) winter attempt on Mt. WA in 1921.

Amaizing faces in the (admittedly old) news.

Look up with what I came yesterday.
{"You children will learn to do what you're told to. Never end a sentence with a preposition."]

No kidding...

This shot's from last week's 3-hr tour and shows the hills I'm standing on. Taking the last picture from. This whole escapade, truly and escape from the cooping of me in my Middle Earth cage, was predicated on the idea that there was a geographic point I was called to.

I elected to calol this point The Highest Point Closest to Town. HPCT.

I am plenty old enough to realize I'm second-hooding:
The while I climbed my head was in the mode of experienced reader of mountaineering lit reliving the inexpierenced thirteen-year-odd's fantasies of derring-do and decisive planning. I did all this pretty much off the cuff, on the spur of the moment, on a Goddam Whim. And because it was easy Roper Class II--better cinch down those laces and watch for loose cobbles.

It turned into a six hour tour and the only lost person was this jackass.RIP, Francis. RIP, Samson.

Coyote Springs, NV.
In February 2009, the Center for Biological Diversity, an environmental advocacy group, announced plans to sue the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for violations of the Endangered Species Act. The Center contends the Coyote Springs development and resultant loss of water resources and habitat would harm the desert tortoise and potentially hasten the extinction of the Moapa dace, both endangered species. The Fish and Wildlife Service and Nevada's water authority responded that they, too, are interested in protecting the Moapa dace, a small fish living in the Muddy River north of Las Vegas.

Milpitas de Cez. Not to be confuddled with Las Hueches, a large metro area to the south of Coyote Springs.

The condensed tour of Clark County now concludes.

Another in a continuing series of where Dr. Wilson used to live:

Say there Mouse, did you catch that beastie boy shot with your tripod mounted, motion activated, night-vision digital wildlife cam? The reason I ask, is that Michele is getting tired of holding the binoculars up to her eyes watching for intruders, so I'm looking into getting one or two. Probably want one to be a dedicated Cheech & Chong cam.

This guy apparently did.
