Triple tested coated optics may simply mean the quality of a lens has been tested by three different quality control agents before they are approved for use in optical illusions.

this fire is around Jerseydale, above Hite Cove, or maybe further to the west of there, like on Sweetwater Point and down south of there around about Bootjack.

It might not interrupt Yosemite traffic, because the wind is blowing to the south of Hwy 140.

It is remarkably clear here in the central valley today, and here is the proof.

This is Ron Anderson speaking. I don't know what's going on this week.

This is Tad Hocking speaking. I know what's going on this week, but don't know if you are going to be involved.

This is Mouse from Merced squeaking. I would gladly take anyone who wants to join us on Tom's Thumb this weekend from the central valley to Redding where the 4x4 awaits at Tad's.

This offer is good whether or not Ron can join us.

I won't be out of here till early Friday morning.

If interested in a good time climbing five-easy, PM me or call 209-722-7134. I have room for one. Please, no hate calls...

In recognition of Father's day, here is the type of place my grandfather Jakob called work.

This one never made to Ascot. Probably couldn't do 3/5 in 10 either.

I wouldn't be in his shoes for all the dog food in California. Let me rethink that one...

Why an English Bulldog Cam? (You might ask). Uh, I couldn't find a Finnish Bulldog? That's Harriet's ghost walking her dog on Gower Avenue. Rick contributed the fine guitar work.

Perhaps there is a need to call in a hieroglyphics expert on those lyrics sheets. Everybody knows that Fogerty wrote Garden Party, but gave it to Rick rather then let Zaentz get his dirty hands on it.

They didn't choose to interview me on Rick, but that's OK. None of these folks knew him as Eric like I did - poor little fools.

It's like Rick Nelson was RR, huh?

Nobody has a single unworthy comment, they are all universal in their regard for Mr. Nelson.

Except that he got away with just standing there as a performer.

As in this clip, his first record.

He sings almost as good as zBrown.

Then there was this in 1975. Good song.
More standing there not moving. It works.

DONíT FENCE WITH ME.

If you really want to hear me tell this, the last thing youíll want to hear about is my death. But Iím gonna die and thereís nothing I can do. I donít know when. I just know that everyone dies, and that means me, too. We are put here to do something, apparently. We have only so much time to get it done and then we are out of here.

Iíve done some things, mostly not close to ďgreatĒ or ďearth-shaking,Ē as ninety-nine percent of us finally come up with, so this is not going to be one of those big sellers like Planet of the Cave Bears. It is more like a limerick: There once was a fellow named Mouse, etcetera.

Limericks are mercifully short, however.

When you have a long list of blah accomplishments the trick is to pick out the top ones and tell about them. In honesty, there are few shining moments in my life, and they are just like the shining moments in your blah, dull lives.

The daughter whomb I sired, and a woman who I once admired and sought to possess, and a beautiful Nana who drank under stress, these and a black VW turned on its side, are some of the things about which you may hear.

Iíve had a climbing career, as well. Iím just like most of you climbers, in that I didnít bail on too many, I got to the top of some impressive places, and I made a few fast friends. Glory is fleeting, friendship lasts.

Thatís what this is about. That is my message.

So why do I need to tell the story? Youíd likely just get bored.

So just plug in your own cuz Iím done, except for that woman I sought to possess. She has escaped me so far. But neither of us are dead yet.

I hear that my old flame fences as well as she plays the guitar, "just like she's ringing a bell."

En garde, pussycat!

Note: This came to me because I just began Catcher in the Rye, never having read it, and it is impressive so far.

Large, traditional Vajrayana prayer wheels in Mongolia. Every spin of a wheel is thought to accomplish a full round of prayers.

Credit: zBrown

It's like they used to say "what comes around goes around" or something like that anyway. I do recall being entreated to "pray for surf" in the early 1960's, not however, whilst actually surfing.

Credit: zBrown

This guy at Coronado North Beach, might have been giving some consideration to prayer. Just north of here is where I was arrested in my baggies, by the U.S. Marines for trespassing on a Federal reserve. I had to sign an affidavit that I wasn't a terrorist and would never do it again on pain of spending the rest of my life praying at Guantanamo.
