To top grasshoppers in the long jump, relative to their body length or height, an average adult male human would have to soar a distance of nearly 90 feet
In this study, we compared the morphology, jump performance and lactate production of twenty species of female grasshoppers ranging in size from 0.2 to 7.0 g to determine whether interspecific scaling of jump performance followed vertebrate or ontogenetic grasshopper models
Vernal's Easter than Yosemite Falls, Upper Case, lower case, and the Casecades, as well as Yosemite West, and lost more. I can't say for Yosemite Yeast, there's a bad moon a-risin'.
Don't go around tonight,
Well, it's bound to take your life,
There's a bad moon on the rise.
Unless you can't sleep.
Redbud in our old neighborhood near Bear Creek in Merced, my annual gift to Mom from Yosemite. She would be 88 today. Love you, Mom.

and hearty birthday wishes to the Rev.
I visited Jeff's mom Betty the other day for a short chat. She said her husband Lem loved to plant a variety of trees but didn't know this one's name.

hey there say, mouse.... love those mulberry trees...
i tried to grow one from twig... did not work though...
will try again, when i can... there is a huge one, near corner where i used to live... but:
my neighbor where i used to live, just a few blocks away, by the way... well, she had the best one ... it hung in her yard, from the neighbor, but, sadly, said folks cut it down for being a 'too messy tree'... :(
love the neat pic of your mom...
my mom had a similar type outfit? well, perhaps not the print'exact, but it was so neat to see her pic, too...
not sure if i can ever find it though... it may be in her house...
thanks for sharing, made me think of my mom, :)
Trees of a deciduous nature are more apt metaphorically for living. Pines are not. --Life is a Fruitlesss Quest for Mulberry Tea in the San Jaoquin, a lurkette's email to me
Don't try to use the leaves of the fruitless mulberry for tea unless you like adventure. Just cuz I ain't did it don't mean you shoudn't or maybe should try it. I found raking fruitless mulberry leaves quite a chore. I hung for many slothful hours from ours watching the ships go sailin', somewhere beyond the sea...tryin' to be cool in the shade like an upside-down thermometer hangin'.
I just realized...ChristO's fence is due to open in less than an hour. Work to do.
My parents lived in Detroit at the time of their marriage (luckily, they arrived in San Diego before I was born - the stigma of being born in the Motor City?) and my older brother loved the Al Kaline era Tigers, so it was with great interest that I noticed that Justin Verlander just signed for $180 Million for seven years. I sure he hope he doesn't hurt his arm falling out of a tree or swinging an axe.
If ya can't have a Merry Christmas anymore cusz it's against PC etiquette, and it seems to me the same should be held against Easter,
I suggest the following cheerful-but-hip-sounding greeting:
May the sensibilities of the current holiday of your choosing be with you BIG TIME!
