climbing north of Elko, NV?

Anyone ever find any climbing up toward Jarbidge?I'll be heading up there twice this fall. I'm taking gear. Just wondering if there are any known routes.

I've been north of Elko to Jarbridge a couple of times. Probably potential, but, no well known places that I'm aware of.

Some stuff closer to Wendover.

South of Elko in the Rubys...

Take care poking around any structures in the area, especially if they're posted. I didn't particularly like havin' an M16 pointed at me at close range...

Some of those old boys get weird out in the woods. Had some interesting times myself. Anyway, that's the direction I'm headed, for better or worse. Guess if some climbing gets done I,ll have to post it up here. It's not a climbing trip... I'm just dragging a rope along.

I won't chip. And come on... how could pulling a rifle up to the belay NOT be better than a treestand? ha ha ha

On 93 between Wells and Jackpot there are some granite crags right off the road. I've stopped there to break up the trip. With a little exploring you might find some good stuff.

^^^Yeah,there are the monzonite boulders around Contact.There's the stupid cliffs just outside Jackpot.Also,the dirt road at Wine Glass Ranch is a back way to CoR(ya better like a lotta dirt road).Jarbidge??Bring yer shovel. ;-)
