Sh#t Yeah! That climb is so classic. Really like the pillar pano, the black and white and red pic, and that last one of the descent is my favorite.
You f*#king pine cone thief, factor 2 mike. Great pics man.

Slater that is my brand new 70. It's pretty like you. Come up.

Big Mike you better not be bringing any non indigenous plant species back up here! They'll encroach!

Great shots! Despite the delay on this live tr I'm quite enjoying it.

I hope someone's enjoying this work i'm getting yelled at for... lol

Our last day we decided on some mellow cragging, so High Eagle it was. There was six cars in the parking lot and the boys couldn't believe it..

We parked at friend rock

4x4 isn't necessary but it sure is helpful!

Jeremy on the trail to High Eagle

The views are absolutely breathtaking.

Over the hill and through the snowpatch, below the exfoliating slab...

When in Shuteye, at least one day of sport climbing must be endured...
Justin on Not Afraid 10a

It took every ounce of strength I had left to toprope the next two climbs.

Hdr is cool...

Very cool granite with Skaha type incut features.

Jeremy pondering the endless vista as many eyes before must have done.

Crag dogs were chillin in the shade. It was 100+ in central valley this day.

Our session at the main wall was short as we were tired. I shot this vista of Shangri-la on the way back.

Before the boys cracked their beers, I convinced them to do one more climb at the Talon...

But i didn't have much juice left...

I had to beg Jer to finish it for me... lol Sadly I had to leave on a jetplane the next day..
Justin and Mindy graciously drove me to Sacramento for my flight and i was glad to be done my trip.

Or was I??......

Ya dude!! You said it. I needed this trip! I regained my independence and that alone was absolutely priceless, not to mention weather and partners. I couldn't have asked for any more!!

Woohoo, hadn't seen the latest pics. My truck looks badass surrounded by black and white and with that watermark. Classic Shuteye, belaying out the tailgate. Lol. Nice pics Mike.

So how old are you in California when they give you your Tacoma?

Every California male gets one right??

And if you don't want the Tacoma you can have a weed prescription instead I heard??

Old Schwarzenegger law or something IIRC....

Didn't Mike tell you it's part of the standard Shuteye rack? So much practice climbing down here Ryan, come on down and who knows, maybe you might get a Tacoma if you stay long enough.

Ya it does Justin! I couldn't resist that one! :)

I was tired after shuteye, but i just couldn't resist sending Ghost an email inquiring if him and Mari would have some time to climb on Friday. Ghost had to work and so did Mari, but she was itching to climb after work.

I showed up to the lower town wall early and took a couple photos.

The view from the parking lot

The rails run along the base of the cliffs

Then Mari showed up and we hit up this gem.

Mari on Roger's corner 5.8?

She sent it. I was able to climb it but the endurance to get it clean just wasn't there after so much climbing and traveling.

The pitch ends at a beautiful overhanging hand crack called Breakfast of Champions 10a

When Dave said Mari hauled me up this thing up thread, he meant it.. The start is really overhanging and I was on a take a move pace to start the pitch.. lol It eases up a bit after that and I was able to get decent jams.

It was a beautiful evening

It was just a teaser really. A taste. I will definitely have to return. Thanks Mari!

Welcome to the club. Yesterday she trashed me on some back-in-the-boonies rig north of Squamish. Some "easy & fun" thing she led that I couldn't follow without grabbing slings.

Sorry we couldn't connect with you this weekend, but then you'd probably have just flailed like me. I think she should find a real climber to tie on with and you and I can bumble around on easy climbs.
