Apogee, the Blue Person,
I will forgive you for your Dodgerism if yu'll forgive me for my Gianitsm and lower your head like a good Dogger fan and silently remember Giants Fandom's Silent Hero, Bryan Stow.
He shoulda had been here yesterday, let alone today.
Quiet, Mouse, damn...

Listening to the game online in the Philippines. Totally jet lagged and then saw that the G's are playing.
What?!! Posey hit a GS in the 5th? Talk about torture.

My Dad & I attended the Dodger's final game of the season vs. the Giants last week. It started pretty flat...for three innings, it looked like both teams were simply phoning it in.
Then it got a lot better...several HR's, including the first HR for one of the relief pitchers.
There was a lot of 'Giants Suck! Giants Suck!' from various places in the crowd...not hard to see how that kind of vibe escalated into the horrible violence of last year. Really disconcerting.

As long as we're in a baseball 'Rant' thread....a question for DodgerHaterz®
Why do you think the Dodgers are worthy of such hatin'?
There's a long history of it, and I've never totally understood why...

Wow, the Giants made it really scary, but Sergio Romo comes through and overcome a 0-2 deficit.

Seattle fans have to love the irony of Ibanez' heroics while pinch hitting for ARod. Raul mostly rode the bench when they were teammates here in Seattle.Lou could never find a place for him in the lineup. The Mariners seem to be New York's most prolific farm team.

Apogee, if your favorite team MOVED AWAY from the city that made them great, your city, I'm pretty sure you'd be doin some hatin yourself.

The Giants won a weak division and their second best hitter is a disgraced cheater and will not be play in the postseason. They have zero chance against the powerful Reds.
he he heeeee ha ha haa ha.
Anyway a whole lot of Seattle Fans are uncharacteristically rooting for the Yankees mostly so Ichiro, one of the best and most loyal players in the game, can get a ring. Ibanez is icing on the cake. Me; I could live with the Giants beating the Yankees in the series.
I could never root for St Louis since one of the best short stops ever (Wizard of Oz) said he would never consent to a trade to SF because he didn't want his kids growing up there (in the circa '80). I know, not rational.

Oh come on...really?
Most DodgerHaterz® I run into think that the Dodgers have always been at Chavez Ravine (and probably have no idea who Chavez is)....
I'm sure there's a very small, dedicated (old!!) few who still have a grudge like that, but I can't help but think that DodgerHate is just like any other kind of hate...something you learn from others.

It seems hard to believe that Detroit won't walk away with the whole thing, but you never know in the post season. They have a mighty potent offense and some passable pitching as well. Okay, maybe a little better than passable(not just Verlander)!
