Well said Pete.

Good to hear. I don't really care what happened in the past. What's done is done and no one got hurt fortunately.

My only concern ever was that it just not happen again. No sense taking unnecessary chances with the lives of folks who get no choice in the matter.

Problem solved. Community working as it should. No need for the tools to get involved.

What's neat about this is that there is such an obvious way to make amends for endangering people by avoiding humping haul-bags down El Cap!

Good on you, ya clumsy f
Sorry, I meant hack. Is he still a hack?

Later on, in the confessional:

Fr. Roper: Pete, Can you spell d e f e n e s t r a t i o n ?
PTPP: No, Father. Does this mean I'll burn in hell?
Fr. Roper: No, Pete, it doesn't. I can't spell it myself. It's a pig of a word.
PTPP: I can spell p i g Father. Want me to toss it off for ya?
Fr. Roper: Sure. Then go in peace and serve the Lord.

Nicely done PtPP,

While at the summit, preparing to toss that gear which now seems too heavy to haul down, has it ever crossed your mind that maybe, just maybe you started out with one or two items too many?

This guy might have some useful tips...

Sorry?

Yeah, sorry you got outed. Wasn't like it was the first time you've been called on this. Your apology is just dripping with crocodile tears of insincerity.

Pass the H*#*@# Pete! (transmissable by tossing, according to published reports)

I know most of you here don't give a damn what I think...
...but
it seems like it's time to turn the page until/unless PtPP gets caught tossing his crap again. He did a pretty good job of eating crow for now.
Time to move on. . .

Good to see you were man enough to admit you were wrong and apologized.

I hope you aren't (or won't) doing that stupid wallflower B.S. anymore and are hauling your sh#t down too.

Read the link in Mastadon's post - it's about climbers hucking trash and poop bags.

An interesting post from Pete:
Unbelievable in this day and age! Had this been during the spring or fall wall season, the culprits would have been caught because so many people are around the wall. Too bad Tom Evans wasn't around with his telescope.

&

{SNIP}I am certainly more in favour of we climbers policing ourselves, which surely would have been the case during regular Wall Season when the base is normally crawling with wall rats.{SNIP}

And as I noticed Pete thanked Tom for putting the pressure on himself in this thread.

Happy to see the apology.

Rumor has it you were slated for the up and coming new show that Simon Cowell has created called American Pariah. Appears Simon was to make a once only exception for a Canadian.

i am not the NPS air drop police, but i will just advise anyone out there who pays attention over time, be aware that character is a measure of what people will do when nobody is looking, not so much a measure of hoe they respond when they are busted or called out in public.

cheers.
